Beckhams Samui Home is Completed
AFTER several months of construction, the home of English football superstar David Beckham is finally finished.
The Bt400 million vacation home is located in an eight-acre area in Ban Tai, guaranteed very private and secluded from the hustle and bustle of the big town.
The house has three floors and offers a beautiful view of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Mu Koh Angthong.
Lucky tourists who go on snorkeling trip to Mu Koh Anthong and Koh Wautalab might have a chance to see the house of the football superstar as it is painted in a very striking white color standing out in the green hills.
Beckham hasn’t had any chance to stay in the house so far because of his busy schedule.
But a source told Samui Express before that the football star has been to the island twice before to personally see the location of the house.
He came to Samui using his private jet. Almost no one new about his whirlwind visit, except a guard at the airport.
His Samui home is also not easy to access as it is built on a hill surrounded by forests. The source said Beckham loves a resort-style residence and likes to spend time by the sea. He has always wanted a private beach, the source added.
A source in the real estate and property business said the purchase of Beckham’s property was negotiated by a broker who made Bt100 million from the transaction.
The price of the land is Bt300 million and the cost of construction is around Bt100 million.
Beckham’s wife, Victoria, was said to be very happy with the new house as they have as neighbor their friend, Sven Goran Eriksson.
It was Eriksson who suggested to Beckham to buy the property when the latter was still playing for Manchester United.
The 32-year old Beckham and wife Victoria recently bought a house in Los Angeles, for about Bt560 million.
This transaction was well known but the couple kept the acquisition of the Samui property under wraps.
Beckham is said to be impressed with the pristine beaches of the island.
Another famous football player, Wayne Rooney, has also been reported to have bought a land on Samui where he also plans to build a luxury home.

Wow! Yet another level of pricing in Thailand ... absolutly stupid farang pricing!
So expect Samui prices to get pushed up to stratospheric levels - the top must be in now!

5555 Poor David, so many homes and no time to live.
He just gave away his Palm Villa to his in-laws.

I would love to know what his motives still are.
It can't be just changing the Soccer world in US....
I also would love to know whether these are his motives or his wifes

I was thinking more in terms of a secret mia noi, tucked away up in the backwaters of Issan.
I can picture becks turning up for a holiday at his new gaff with Posh, Boston and Twinkle (or whatever his kid's names are) and the mia noi has moved the whole family down from Nakhon Nakhnowhere.........

Ever seen him try to string a sentence together on TV? Just goes to show you don't have to be educated to be rich, just clever.

sorry but I just don't get the fascination with Samui's Beaches...they are all muddy tidal flats...Patong Beach is better than anything on Samui....and I won't use it
what the hell would the Beckhams do on Samui....wear their backpacks down to Chaweng for a night at the "mango"

Probably Better For Them In The Privacy Stakes To Be In Samui Rather Than Phuket
Sorry To Disagree With You Nelson But Lamai Beach Kicks Patongs Butt ! But Not For Nightlife May I Quickly Add.

I thought there were no private beaches in Thailand. Not allowed by the law. Sure you can block the way to the beach but you can reach them from the seaside.

Obviously he is sick of pumping a plastic doll.
With 10,000 odd working girls in Samui, I wouldn't say the guy is stupid - he has discovered the 'real' LOS! 5555

Go back and remember Loops picture and then realise only seeing a snapshot of the beach in two places and at two different times is very hard to compare.
I understand Nelsons point for the snapshot I saw of Chaweng beach, yes it was very shallow and at low tide did reveal mud flats and rocks.
I have also seen the mud flows into Patong sea turning parts of the water brown and sometimes the beach is messy with litter left from the tourists.
Don't think you should start trying to pick what you feel is the best beach in Samui to compare to Patong as its not the best on the island, generally the beaches on the westside of Phuket are better in my opinion than Samui's, taking all seasons etc into consideration.

During 8 days there saw it at low tide and high tide and in front of Lamai Wanta at least there were no mud at any given time. Beach was nice at both tides.
