Max,
try this one,
www.sawadee.com/samui/lamaiinn
stayed there last Christmas,it's bungalows so no security worth mentioning.
I had an aircon room which was great, the non aircon rooms looked a little run down.No pool, but right on the beach!!
quite popular though,so book early!!!
Cheers,
Bonnetti

Hopefully girl friendly accomodation...
Hi, just got a postive feedback of my reservation request at "Ever Green Resort" in Chaweng, close to Soi Green Mango (1100 Baht, Bungalow AC, hot water, Minibar & TV, double, see here ). There are also positive reviews.
In their email it sais: "The is no charge for the joiner" (I hope they donīt expect me to ckeck in together with a farang joiner cause I just asked "Whatīs about joiners?"...)
Hope this info helps...

I stayed here http://www.sawadee.com/samui/weekender/ a couple of weeks ago in Lamai beach. Great resort and great hotel. Would defo stay there again. No problem bring BG back. Took several back. I had a bungalow so no need to pass reception. Also I popped up at breakfast many a morning with a different girl and nobody confronted me on this.

Nice to here it...
Hi maxcherry,
have the "weekender" in my favourites too. But itīs an important info that they are definetly girlfriendly there: Coming to breakfast with different faces every day without any probs seems to proove it.
I thought a hotel in the "above 1000" range wonīt do, cause of some gawking tourists i expectetd in this class. But if itīs the ohter way round itīs ok! Thanks for the hint.
But: Lamai is in my opionion too far away for the party in Chaweng (Iīll stay there for the first couple of days), but itīs on my plans on the step to go the "chill out" for Koh Phangan / Koh Tao....
My favorite in Lamai until right now was the Lamai In 99 ... see here Good reviews too and recommend by a board member...
