Question Guest Freindly Hotels in Samui

Alright guys, I have most of my accomadation booked already with the exception of samui where I cant really find a lot of imformation on, So im still looking for a few suggestions of places to stay on cheweng beach that are guest friendly with Acc,Hotwater,Tv&fridge for around 2000bt or under.

I already have plans to stay at Samui Lagoon Bay but just incase its fully booked or wont budge on the price when we get there.(Because the Internet rates are 2000/2400bt). And I really need a few more suggestions of places to stay just in case that one falls through, Thanks in advance

Its a bit out of the action though. But they have song tells (<spelling!!??) running all the time and its only 20B to jump on and off where you like...
Its on the main road through Cheweng, heading out in the Lamai direction.
About 1 mile from the Green Mango i`d say

Yes I think thats the one ive been looking at http://www.sawadee.com/samui/lagoonbay/

Is that the same one? If so the internet rates are 2000/2400bt

Nice place to stay though.

They will probably put the price up if I mention your name

Seriously though, This may sound a bit stupid but how exactly do you get them to budge on the price? Do you just ask them straight out a price your willing to pay?

Girl friendly accomodation in Chaweng

I stayed four nights in "Ever Green Resort", see sawadee.com. Close to the beach, really green garden (nice-like that), no bugs, hot shower, tv for the girls, deposit box with PIN in the room (like that for FLs to put my digicam and money), refrigerator for the water at beach.... not the newest but really ok for 1000 or 1100 Baht, enough space to put the clothes etc.... from 7pm to 7am a security who gets the id cards BUT NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR GIRL....

IŽll take it again, about 10 Min to Soi Mangoo, to Reggae Pub better use a motorbike taxi (my first night had a 30 min walk, but a wrong map in mind). My Girl said room is ok, she didnŽt know. Bed ok too.

I dont know whether this hotel is guest friendly or not, But if you bring a girl with you when checking into a hotel, And book you and her into the hotel as guests then you will not be charged a joiner fee regardless of what hotel it is or if they are not guest friendly, By doing this you are effectively booking a room for you and your girlfriend, Thai or not.

i stayed at the p&p resort in chawang beach right in the middle of chawang and on the beach, it's a really good hotel and all the rooms are bungalows, so you can take guests back no prob, it was 1000 baht a night and had air-con, fan, fridge, safe in room, bathroom with hot shower and most importand a big **** bed. well worth the money and no need for taxis.

Baan Rom Mai - Koh Samui hotels Thailand on sawadeevacation.com

Peter

I have also considered that hotel, but unsure about them. Their terms and conditions is what i find hard to understand:
-A maximum stay of 3 nights is suggested for all seasons except Peak Season
-Accept bookings for 5 nights or less except Peak Season.

As i understand they dont want you staying at their hotel for more than 3 days, unless its peak time. I think all bungalow hotels are girl friendly, as how can they possibly know who you bring back.

I stayed at the Chaweng Garden Beach Bungalow.
I think this is the contact info:
162/8 Chaweng Beach, Bophut, Koh Samui 84320 Tel: (077) 422265 / 230993
Its right across from the Burger King, 5 minute walk to green mango, but quiet at your room just the same. I think I paid about 1200 baht.
They don't seem to have a website. I looked at quite a few places and bang for your buck this was about the best I found imho. Its right on the beach, none of the rooms have a beach view though. Its best to stay in the newer attached 2 storey part of the hotel rather than the stand alone bungalows. Definitely girl friendly, no joiner fee, security guard will take their ID when you bring them home. If you're with the girl for a long time and they are cool with her she can come and go as she pleases (they'll give the room key to her, etc, but you might want to clear this with them). Also, there seemed to be always a few guys around with a Thai gf, so you won't get any funny looks eating in the restaurant or hanging out at the beach if you're worried about that sort of thing.

There may be better places but I don't think you'll be unhappy.

The only complaint I might have is the towels in the room are kind of crappy (except your first night, you get the good ones then) so you might want to bring your own or bribe the cleaning lady!

Its quite a busy place so you might want to call ahead.

Als resort

I stayed at Als resort. Right in the center of Chewang and next door to the supermarket. Girl friendly and decent beach. It is mid range around 1200 if I remember right. It was last year, I think they have a web site. Do not pay extra for sea view room it is not worth it and actually the non-sea view has a better patio. In room safe! Also a pool but the beach is right there so no need really. Green Mango is a block away

Hi Ally!

I just returned from Samui. Chaweng Beach. Stayed at a nice Hotel named "Coconut Groove" just behind Pizza Hut. Large Rooms. TV. AirCon. Shower. Double Bed for just 500 baht. (500 baht deposit for room and 200 baht deposit for safe key doh). Very close to the beach (1minute walk). And ofcourse Guestfriendly.

Another place to mention. Baan Chaweng Hotel. Very nice bungalows beside the beach for around 1400 baht. A friend stayed there with his missus. Dunno if guestfriendly but i seen loads of farungs with their ladies so methinks no problem. (Beach area very crowded with loads of people last week of july)

Passed a place on the walk from my hotel down to the beach called "The Ark" Hotel sometimes. Small bungalows with double bed. TV. Shower and Aircon. Have nice pool. For 750 baht. Just besides the beach. (loads of young FMP'ers there)

PM me if you need anymore details....

cheers,

Chris
