Chaweng or Lamai ???

what you in to ?you on your own with mates a girlfriend what ?
if you want bar girls ,bars that stay open late iam told lamai
is best out of the 2
if your into clubs and like to holiday in Europe
try chewang .just like going Ibiza but take ages to get there
ive been chewang 3 times now so I will try lamai this year

your have to let us all no what your situation is before we can answer

Thanks Darbs, my situation is iam thinking to go koh samui
with a girl from phuket, i already go 7 times to patong and
want to do something else this time, whe like to go out but
also relaxing

My choice would definitly be chaweng, lamai is a bit too quiet for my likings......
But it really depends on what you want out of the trip .

yeah if your with a girl already
you might as well go chewang . ive been with a bird
maybe try staying in bophut .its only 5 minuets in a taxi from the busy part of chaweng
but nice so you can be left alone with you girl if you fancy a quiet night
still a few bars and resturants there

I'd say go for Lamai to get the best of both worlds. Nicer area, less crowded and has a good nightlife/eating/shopping areas. Chaweng is only a short taxi drive away also so you're not restricted to one area.

Hi!

Have been staying in Thongsay Bay/Samui in April 2003. Very nice Houses to rent for only EUR 20,- per Day. Very nice private Beach. Restaurant. Motorbike Ride to Chaweng around 20 minutes. Very quiet there doh cause its a bit off the track but its worth it if you prefer privacy. I will be back forsure! I have attached a Pic of the house i have been staying at. Have fun!
