Reminds me of my debut in the 5 day open in Lossiemouth, qualified with decent scores to get in section 2 handicap matchplay, playing well and then step up on the 7th tee with a driver and fresh air , was going to claim a practice swing but thought i better not.
You boys better watch out next time i am in town, contacted a golf society in Udon, they play 3 times a week, so hopefully i will join them and get back to my best.
then the Scotland/England match can be staged.

Don't you just hate it when that happens! I had a few of those shoulder wrenching air-shots when out with the Gruesome twosome.
Swish! (See ball still on the tee thingy which you found after searching every pocket in my tactical underwater many pocketed shorts and being told it was behind your ear! Thanks Duncs) A discrete glance to the left to see three people sniggering into Gucci golf gloves as I address the ball with whisper - "Dear little Ball, if you don't fly straight and true this time you are going for a swim!"
That certainly showed it!

Striped up good and proper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 25th, Nicke couldn't make it this week he was counting money all day with his accountant, wasn't in the bar last night either, so much to count - not enough time.
Roberto el bandito from cordoba turns up today, as he is polishing his brand new Taylor Made Irons he annouces in a muffled spanish accent, "yep play off 24 gringo!!", we thought okay give him a shot per hole. Well we got a few points each on the first and second, Duncs and I were both having an off day but still against a 24 handicapper, should be okay, few pars and bogies from el cordoba (net birdies net pars) he tells us just having a few lucky holes and his game will just as quickly go, right well its been 24 hours since and I still havn't seen any change but have noticed that I have developed a severe twitch in my left eye.
Robert took us to pieces, we played the american scoring system of 4-2-0, lowest score reverting to 0 after each hole, Robert ended up with 21, Duncs 11 and me 0, I shot 49 which funnily enough is playing to a 24 handicap if we had played 18 (damn that twitch has started again), found a bit of water and managed to retrieve at least 12 of Denver's golf balls that the divers had missed. Didn't have any plaques to put up on the first as Roberto drove onto the second green and that cheering in my head of Ondalay! Ondalay! after he putted every birdie is still giving me nightmares!!!!
Simon you will not need to play 3 times a week to hone your game, just get down here now while we are still suffering!!!!

Yes it was a good day for the duffer! I shot 50 which is my usual however I think we will change some of the handicapping as Duncs should give some shots to you as well. My first three holes were 8-6-8 which put me 8 over par after three holes but after that I played the last 6 holes 5 over par which with my handicap made me the lucky gringo. Had alot of fun and look forward to playing again soon.
Cheers!

8 June 2006
Me, Nalle Puh (Sweden) and Flip (Australia) showed up for todays game, as Dodger and Duncan forgot it was Thursday. Flip joined at 4th hole as he arrived late, he went to the 18 hole course and not the 9 hole course and thats why he was delayed.
Nalle Puh havent played for one year but did some practise at the driving range prior to today, he played pretty ok with 61 shots.
I had my best round ever with 49 shots, 2 par and had a very close chance to another par but missed my short putt and got a 3 putt instead. My driver (I use Wood 3) worked great today and got longer than usual.
It was some raining in the morning and when we ate food at the club house afterwards it started to rain again, so we were lucky regarding the weather aswell.
Great day!

Congratulations Nicke on your best ever round - 49, you will be giving us shots soon!!!!
Sorry I forgot it was Thursday, as you know it was Gee's birthday yesterday and after you guys went (thanks for that as well it really made her day you, ead and nats coming over) we went to Rock City and met up with 4 of Gees friends who had come down from Bangers on a little holiday. Had a brilliant night, one of the girls ended up tipping the singer 500 baht just for looking good!!!! (might have had something to do with the 3 gallon of tequila she had consumed)(one of them is the best looking girl I have seen since I have been here) guess who spent the day with us today, met her this morning coming out of you know who's room!!!!!
Still will be there deffo next week, got to get my game in shape Allyb's coming over soon!!!!

It sounds like you guys have a bit of fun swinging the club, and all things going according to plan, I might join you later in the year. I'd have to say my handicap would be my swing, short game and probably putting, but that's never stopped me before. Although if you'd let me throw the ball and putt then I might be able to make a game of it........

It is fun Scholtz, nothing too serious and a great afternoon out in good company! They don't take the p1ss too much and sometimes let you get away with the odd 'air-shot'........
I'm the same with my game. I am thinking of inventing 'Floating' Golf Balls and 'Golf Waders' and considering taking a grass strimmer in my golf bag to help find the balls that didn't go in the water!
Enjoy it and have a good round.

Big game this week we are playing England Vs Sweden (as a pre cursor of the world cup game next week), think the Swedes are going to bring an extra man, me an the boy would be grateful if anyone here knows of a 2 metre english lanky streak of pi$$ living in Patong that we could bring on as a sub, (doesnt need any golfing ability!).
Was in MTB last night, Nicke's bought all the girls Sweden shirts for the game so all you english footie thugs need your support in there next week!!!!!!

G'Day Nicke, How was the Golf today? I hope you broke 50 again. You were a bit unlucky not to shot 46 or 47 last week, so I think another best score ever is not too far away. I am back in OZ now and am trying to figure out when I will be back. Thanks to you and Nalle Puh for your hospitality last week and can't wait for the return match, Flip
