The camera is working now since 3 days back.
The problem was not the phoneline, it was the modem who caused problem with the phoneline. So I bought a new modem and it's working now.

I really don`t understand what`s wrong, but I can`t get pics from the webcam. I have only been able to log on to the camera one time since mid-december. I have had my friends try to log on on their computers (in Norway) too, but no success.
Anyone else got the same problem and/or a solution???

New webcam
I ordered a new webcam today, so the picture quality may improve within a week.
I got many complaints lately regarding the webcam quality so I ordered a new webcam today, so stay tuned for better quality. The problem is that the humidity here make the quality drop down a lot in a short time. I also bought a camera housing and I hope the good quality will last longer.

The problem is that some ISPs uses a strong cache on their networks, so when the browser try to grab a new picture it get the old one from the cache of the ISP instead of the new one from the server.

I got the new camera already, it's in a box. I also bought a weatherproof camera housing, I hope it will make the camera's picture quality more durable.
But I am not sure I want to use this housing because it is quite big and where to place it.

Too much light ?
Hi Nicke,
May be it's a question of light ... on the last pic, there is too much light behind the bar ... if you move down just a little bit the webcam, it should be better.

Ok, I promise to change the webcam within few days...
I will maybe use the old cam (at 640x480 pixels) as a weathercam instead after cleaning the lenses.

Nicke, this cam and all the rest of the info like it are great, makes me feel more comfortable about travelling there to see everything for myself. I have never been to Thailand but after reading websites like yours and keeping up on what is going on locally, I feel much more comfortable taking a trip to a strange land this fall. Keep up all your efforts to bring these things to the web!
-Thanks-

new web cam
At PHUKET WATCH I see, that the web cam in Malibu Bar is not more available. Does that have a special reason?
Also a new web cam will be installed. Where will be this cam.
And when do you install the new web cam at MTB? As you see in the pic, the quality isn΄t so good

Malibu Bar decided to cancel their subscription.
I am currently moving phuket-info.com and phuketwatch.com and when I move phuketwatch.com the camera will stop working and needs to be reprogrammed. This is a good opportunity to replace it and clean the lenses of the old one and mount it here in my apartment with overlooking view of Patong and act as weather cam.
Merlin Divers have a new restaurant/shop in Kamala and he told me as late of yesterday he will put his camera up soon, again. It was on Kamala beach before.

Nicke, is there any chance of mounting it in your apartment with an overlooking view of your and Eads bedroom

Cam requests
Nicke,
While everyone is on the subject of your bar cam , i've always wanted to know wether or not it would be possible for you to put the cam much lower down so that we can see more the street and the comings and goings in general ? Almost like a punter cam viewpoint , would be great if you could

Hi BB,
I understand what you mean but it is not so easy to do that, really not many options available where you can put the cam.
