Joining the Tiger photo club - Phuket Zoo
I went with Skorpionen to Phuket Zoo last week and had to make a new photo with the tiger. I did it first time in 1999 but I lost that photo.
When I first sat on the Tiger he become a bit aggressive and moared and tried to look at me so the man with the stick had to hit him several times. Little bit scary.
I wanted Ead to sit on the other Tiger but she refused to go anywhere close to the tigers, she she was afraid of them.

Great pics guys especially Skorpionens ones. That is on my "wish list" for the next trip.In fact the missus looked at the pics and said "You'll just have to go again if you want a picture with the tigers".I can't refuse her now can I? All I have to do now is arrange it so she can't go with me hehe

i dont think they where drugged, they werent to happy when i was there they where moaning a lot and the thai guy was hitting the hell out of them which made me a bit more wary of sitting with them but i did and as my expression shows i was less than happy about being so close.

I'm always very careful with animals in LOS. There's much animal cruelty.
So i would never do Elephant trekking or this tiger photo. In Ko Samui you find in a disco guys with monkeys on their arms and some with eagles
They want you to make a photo with the poor animals. If you pay money for this unholy business you support them. Always keep that in your mind.

I agree with you to some points, but elephant trekking is similar to horse riding wich is accepted everywhere? I think animals kept in a Zoo is OK but the police crackdown on people who walk with animals on street, e.g. eagles, snakes and monkeys. The situation is a lot better now compared to 4 years ago. Bangla is pretty clean now.

hehehe nice point. But the animals can't say when something is not ok for them. The girls can say if something is wrong.
