I simply adore both of the shooters on offer at the Mai Thai Bar.
The ubiquitous salty-ness of the Fishermans Friend that sends you on a journey to the deep Swedish seas, conjuring up pictures of cod and other fish. The 'De'ath Noirs' as I like to call them, another salty drink that encourages you to buy another bottle of tiger to swill it down (Not as stupid as they look these bar owners!) As Pablo says, I can't get enough of them. I often put them in the same glass and call it a Dead Fisherman or a Black Friend. Makes your wee turn purple too..................Honest!

I seem to remember, black deaths also have a weird way of making you want to ring bells, and have more. Its obviously a social drink. But if you really want to get fcuked up drink it whilst chewing one of Nickes tabacco tea-bags.

I love the Fishermans shots. I'm not a big drinker, but they go down really easy.

combined with the heat, and the tiredness from travel i got pretty well pisssed! thats my excuse anyway!

Nicke also introduced me to the Black Death shot whilst on tour with mates in Jan... I loved them but my mate after the 4th or 5th shot ran to the toilet and threw up half in the toilet and half on his feet.
When he came back he said nothing and we kept drinking after a few drinks we accidently tipped a beer over and it went all over us and i look over to my mate and he had a smile on his face!!! I ask "why are you smiling you p@@f" I was soaking wet, he replied " I just threw up all over my feet in the toilet and the beer just washed it all off".... Couldnt help but laugh....
