Falling star
Ead said she saw a star falling down today and made her wish, I didnt saw that but she is absolutely sure it was. I never saw anything like that during my life, of 36 years.
It was on the way home around 4.30 am this night... she was driving as usual.

Probably a shooting star Nicke. Seen a few overhead but they do look like they are stars falling from the sky.
I'm know zero about astronomy, but I think they are meteors??

I have seen many. I guess different parts of the world offers better viewing. On a clear night in Arizona or parts of California I have seen many on the same evening.
A falling star has nothing to do with starts. It is typically meteoroids entering the earth's atmosphere and what you see is them burning as the hit the friction of the earths atmosphere..

Have not seen a falling star before.
What is the other star that you're not suppose to make a wish when you see it? Or is it a Chinese Myth ?

in parts of Asia people believe a falling star is a bad omen: the `tears from the moon about the lost sunbride' would predict war, death or demise of a close person

Nicke, Its hard to see shooting stars in Bangla, when you only looking at your light show
And yeah, its just small meteors/debris hitting the earths atmosphere and burning up.

I remember a few years ago when I lived on Phi Phi we heard on the news a meteor shower was due one night so a few of us walked down the beach to the darkest place and watched the sky. Then it started, first one then another then three or four at once. It lasted for a few hours must have been well over a hundred altogether. Spectacular.

Seen some fallen stars in Bangla and Pattaya.
Seen falling stars on dark nights with clear sky. Often happens. There is also a perod of the year when you can see them more often.

Meteors and meteorites, and falling-stars are generally the same thing - debris from comets orbiting the Sun, and at certain times of the year (ie, certain parts of the earth's orbit around the sun) there are meteor showers for a few nights.
For a list of 2008 dates see 2008 Meteor Showers.
That's not to say that you won't see that at other times, but they are quite rare at other times of the year; the best chance of good displays are on the dates listed.

I've seen many falling/ shooting stars.
Generally in the middle east or south east asia.
But rarely, if ever, in the west.....
Too much 'light pollution'

He's a bounty hunter. His name is Dog or something. He got busted in Mexico trying to get a bail jumper back to America.

Hehe, sounds like it is taken from a Hollywood movie Think they did the same thing on a episode of Shark

What made "Dog" fall was his use of racial slurs when his kid started to date a black.
He tried to revive himself on TV is a tearing interview. Among others he made the statement that he (himself) was more like a black than a white. As he said "I am a Brother from a different Mother"
