later already little drunk to MTB, then on to d-club or maybe tiger disco or pool club
but then it's time for loom!

Apple Tree Bar for ockesangsooooom and bancing on the dar.
7-11 for a pack of smokes and dodge the KBG back to my loom.
Can never remember Patong but normally wake up in Kamalalala!

The first couple of nights we started around some of the bars below tiger just to get a feel for the place, then headed off to the aussie bar/kangaroo bar for a couple.
Went to rock city one night for their friday night party - was pretty wild with plenty of farang women, but way to farkin loud. Ended up heading to MTB at the end of the night, but it was almost closing time by then and pretty dead. Spewing I didn't head there earlier one evening as other BM's have mentioned.
One of the following nights we discovered the U2 bar, that was our main port of call for the rest of the trip. We would usually not head out till around 10-10:30 and swap between U2 and the tiger bars. Awesome music (just buy the boys a heiniken and tell what you want to play), great BG's, the owner would always ring the bell well into the night. Good place for chilling out and watching the mass of people stroll Bangla, or a place for partying hard if you feel up to it.
Tiger bars, always plenty of good-looking BG's to check out and there is a few nice LB's to watch out for to the untrained eye. Never headed to Tiger disco, didn't know about all the BG's heading up there once they finish - will check that out next time though.
There is a good pool bar down the end of the Soi San Sabai (i think). Heaps of pool tables, and alot of BG's head there after work. Gets cranking around 4am - worth checking out.
So many fricken bars to check out though, if your not feeling the groove - move on. IMO I think alot of the larger nightclubs are overrated - plenty more fun to be had at the smaller bars - but its up to the individual.
Cheers,
Ranger

Had a bit of an afternoon session the other day, bar opposite DiDi's Guesthouse on San Sabai, forgot the bloody name now! Anyway, 50 baht beers and it is all of them, from Midday to Midnight.............Not that any of us made midnight like!
Anyway, DiDi's on your left, look right and see the sign..........It was like feeding a donkey strawberries! Hic!

The young 'lady' I took back to Summer Breeze the other weekend found the Gideon Bible whilst having a rummage in my drawers.
"What this?"
I could only think to answer............"Buddha Book"
She seemed happy with that!
What?

Maybe a stupid question (just visited patong 2 times) but a lot of people quote shipwreck? Is this bar situated at Bangla .... doesn't ring a bell at all.
My absolute number one bar is the Kangaroo bar ... teriffic view, big telly (sport) and a lovely staff.
Afterwards; like hopping around in the soi's (drinking one or two at each bar & next bar) but I am quite sure haven't visited them all.
Will certainly bring a visit to the mtb on my next visit (2009)
Downstairs Tiger is not my cup of tea because there is so less air circulation over there .... really looks like a sauna over there.

Let me think, you are waring a white cane and dark glasses.
If you are in Kangaroo, chech 50 meters left or right of you, same side of soi Bangla, just in front of Soi Crocodile.

i like to start with some live music at tai pan
then move to Happy Night Bar and sit up stairs and watch the dancers up stairs and the lady boys down stairs and see all the guys going up to them.
Then i would walk under tiger to Queen of hearts bar and cowboys before going btwn tiger and tai pan disco or maybe crocodile before taking the tg i choose for a bit to eat before making my drunken way back to my room.

I'll usually start at the "50 baht bar" on Bangla. Then, when I start running low on cash, I'll go to the 7-11 and pick up a bag of beer. I look carefully down the soi's, to see if there are any "baloon" parties in process...for free food.
Then, it's down to the beach to drink and share my beers (7-11) with some REAL Thai people. Just don't like "the rif-raf" that congregate in the commercialized bars and soi's.
