Just bring your ATM card mate, as they are everywhere in Patong. I usually take about $300 just in case.

Your choice
Well...It all depends if your a big eater or drinker...but usually you can get by with $75-100 Aus a day not including Accomadation...
Some night this went to $200 when I was bell crazy!!!
Central is a great place to go movies, shopping or eating....always good to go there a few times during your trip....
If you do a search you will find some usefull info that I probably left out..
Have fun...

Perhaps if you included some specifics in your post , like how long your trip is,what standard of accomodation , what you plan to do i.e drinking, girls etc. then you would get a better response.
The basic answer is , take as much as you can afford , if you don't spend it all , great , more for your next trip.

Hmmm I have never had a problem with ATM in Thailand but just had a very bad experience in Japan. Hardly any ATMs around and when I did find them they did not take my card. Have no idea about Sing ATMs though. Very good point. Something to look into.
cheers,

Spent about 50$ a day normally, sometimes 70$. And on rare occasions 100$ or so. It all depends on what you do.
Sheesh 100$ - 300$ a day. What are you doing with that money?

When i am in Pattaya or Patong i spend approx 6-7000 baht pr day and that not include accomodation..I like to drink and have a good time with the girls
I know some BM`s who live for 3500-4000 baht pr day and still have a great time,so its all up to you how much you spend and what you use your money for.Have a good one.

As far as i know, that particular "POSB" bank is a local bank and the ATM card has no "Plus" or "Cirrus". The Thai ATM will not take the card. Had a mate who brought the card to LOS (actually had tons of $$ in it) but can't use them.
Ended up using his Credit Card for advance cash.

Money just keeps going
I am probably the one to blame..too much drinks...then too much shouts...
On average after I've had a late afternoon meal...I go out with 4-6000 Baht in my pocket..on big nights I make the ATM trip before we continue on to the 0400-0700 am sessions of drinks....
Mind you this is just for a 10 day stretch and it is holidays so...we make the most of it....
Lucky I go back to a job...and then the saving starts all over again

Best advise is to just roll with the flow. You do not want to do Thailand cheap and miss out on a lot of fun. Just don't get carried away. SOme days you will spend over 100$ other days much less. It all depends on what forms of entertainment you work with everyday and night.
Just enjoy it mate!!
Cheers,
Ashley

You will probably be charged 1.5% or a minimum fee for cash withdrawals from your visa debit card.
Be sure to advise your card supplier (bank) that you will be using it in LOS as it has happened that BMs have been denied withdrawing cash by the bank security system. If an unusually large amount has been requested or the withdrawal is abroad, some banks will refuse to OK the payout.
A quick call to advise you are abroad could save a lot of grief
Travellers cheques are OK but its a pain taking your passport everytime you need to cash one. Yes I know you are supposed to carry it at all times but who does?
I find a reasonable amount of sterling and a debit card with a credit card for back up is the way to go.

Having been the first time in LOS and not knowing the usual prices for food and girls, if been really ripped. After back home i find this site and know now how much i was a fool. paid 3-4000 for bg for lt every time. additional bying some gifts etc. would have saved a lot of money if had seen this site before. nevertheless had the best time in live!! and donīt want to miss the experiences i made for sure i come back again asap.
became infected with the "LOS virus!"
