This looks like a cool collector item.
But what would have made some more practical baht values: The LT Baht and the ST baht. That would end the entire discussion on pricing...

There used to be a 60 baht note ages ago, but it was actually a square shape and not the usual rectangle shape. It was legal tender but was mainly used for good luck

gf spent 2 1/2 hours the other day at the bank on her day off to get me the 60 bt note, would only sell 1 to each customer and it cost 100 bt.
the gf works at the tesco complex, so she will keep her eyes open for more to keep.

They printed 9,999,999 of these special limited-edition notes (which come with a presentation pack and aren't intended for general circulation, hence the "premium" charge). They sold out within a few hours of their issue on Friday, June 9. The central bank will print a "few" more to satisfy demand, to be released at the end of this month. If interested, you need to apply at the central bank (not just any commercial bank) and get on the list.

Here's some additional information about these banknotes (and other planned commemoratives) for those "souvenir junkies" among us:

Commemorative Banknotes in Honor of His Majesty the King (25/5/2006)
Among many ways in which the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne has been celebrated this year is the issuance of commemorative banknotes.
The Bank of Thailand will print commemorative banknotes a total of 9,999,999 notes. The set of 60-baht notes will be distributed on June 9. The front of the note includes a portrait of His Majesty. The back also features His Majesty’s portrait, with other pictures illustrating royally initiated projects in the fields of water resource development and agricultural development, as well as his visits to the people.
Each commemorative banknote, with a pamphlet, will be sold at 100 baht. Part of the proceeds from the sale will be presented to His Majesty for charity purposes.
The banknotes will be available at Bank of Thailand headquarters in Bangkok and its offices in Chiang Mai, Khon Khaen, and Hat Yai, the Banknote Management Center in Lampang, and Thai commercial banks across the country.

Press Releases
Commemorative Stamps, Banknotes, and Pins in Honor of His Majesty the King
Among many ways in which the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne has been celebrated this year are the issuance of commemorative stamps and banknotes and the production of pins in the figure of the Royal Ceremonial Emblem.
Thailand Post Company has been entrusted with launching a project to issue commemorative stamps marking the Sixtieth Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne. The stamps are produced in three sets. The first set comprises six types, and each type consists of one million stamps. Each stamp is in the value of three baht and it shows a portrait of His Majesty the King. This set will be available on May 5, marking the coronation anniversary of His Majesty.
The second set, consisting of one type, depicts His Majesty in a full military uniform and wearing a gown of the Royal House of Chakri. A total of 1.2 million stamps of this set will be produced. The value of each stamp is 100 baht. The second set will be available on June 9, which commemorates the 60th year of His Majesty's reign.
The third set comprises six types, featuring a portrait of His Majesty while visiting the people to help ease their problems, as he has done throughout his 60 years on the throne. Each stamp is priced at five baht, and one million stamps will be produced for each type. This set will be available on December 5, His Majesty's birthday.
As for commemorative banknotes, the Bank of Thailand will print a total of 9,999,999 notes. The set of 60-baht notes will be distributed on June 9. The front of the note includes a portrait of His Majesty. The back also features His Majesty's portrait, with other pictures illustrating royally initiated projects in the fields of water resource development and agricultural development, as well as his visits to the people.
Each commemorative banknote, with a pamphlet, will be sold at 100 baht. Part of the proceeds from the sale will be presented to His Majesty for charity purposes. The banknotes will be available at the Siam Commercial Bank and its branches.
Meanwhile, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office, is launching a project to produce commemorative pins in the figure of the Royal Ceremonial Emblem. Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Rongphol Charoenphandhu said that the Office of His Majesty's Principal Private Secretary had already granted permission for the use of the royal ceremonial emblem to produce commemorative pins.
The pins will be sold to the general public. The price and date for the distribution of the pins will be set later. Proceeds from the sale will be presented to His Majesty for use at his discretion.

Yes, I bought one in Bangkok. It's a commemorative item but it can also be used (although I'll never let it go). My gf keeps the 10 B coins. There are various commemorative 10 B coins and some are very rare so I almost always check it when 1 have one and keep the special ones.
One funny thing: she was not aware that there are 10B bank notes and was very surprised when she got 1 for the first time.
