Are my old Danish money worth anything?

Yesterday I was cleaning my office and found my old paper day-planner. Inside was 500 Danish kroners of the older type. I had a feeling that they no longer are legal tender and perhaps worthless. So I was searching the Internet for images to post in this thread to ask my fellow Danes if that was the case.

In doing so I came across a Danish site selling collect ables (money and stamps). On the site I found that my old money may have higher than original value (up to 6 times). I have 4 each 100 kr. and 2 each 50 kr.; all are in new condition never folded.

Images of the bills:

Could I be so lucky, or are they worthless. Face value is about $100.

I think they are still valid.

Looks like that I at least have the face value. Next time I go to DK I will bring then to a collector/reseller and if I can get a bit more it was a lucky find.

If its any help...Before the euro came into ire 2003???(not 100% on the year) we had punts...You can still exchange the old money here for euros at the central bank in Dublin...My uncle found £500ir and exchanged it last year.
Thats one bank in the whole of ireland..
You should check with a bank in denmark and they will tell you straight away.

You could still exchange last year in Ireland ? Surprising.

I know that many charity organisations collected old european money for quite a long time, but I can't even find a site for those anymore.

I remember once in England, well over 20 years ago, I collected change from a merchant and when I went to the next to spent it I was told that my money was not legal tender.

I will check with the bank when I go back there. At this point I am comfortable that at the least the old papers have value and most likely face or more.

At work one time me and one of the guys found 710eur wrapped in a rubber band ,stuffed inside one of the new machines that we had just taken delivery of a few days before...We thought it was a 'test' so handed in straight away..
No-body claimed it so after 1 year a notice goes up at work with a cheque photocopy. The boss gave it to charity...
We just thought he would keep it.....
