Agree Dawsey. And the way and manners in which America sneezes and coughs etc., makes them lose the last pieces of popularity they may have with many peoples in the world.

Americans (and especially Canadians) have always have had loads of respect and gratefulness from the Dutch population. However, since the Bush era started, this feeling made a 180 degree turn arround.
Never before, Americans (and America's politics) were so much disliked here as it is now.

Canadians are still liked a lot here.

So if this is the high range, are you then suggesting sell CAD, buy USD?

As a scaled trade possibly - dont think we've based yet in the USD - but remaining watchful of price action - today (retail sales, IP, cap U) and Tuesdays the big day with FED decision (25bp enough IMO, but 50bp is priced in) and more important the statement afterwards - a big week ahead.

Plus first few financial quarter earnings next week (Lehman, Stanley, BearSt). Could be an interesting week for stocks, rates and FX.

Despite low volatility it felt very nervous the last few days and would assume there will be very good trading opportunites over the next few weeks (might take a bit of nerves to see it through but nevertheless there will be opportunities).

I carry alot of inventory out of the US and I'm loading up right now. Also buying USD.

A strong CAD vs US really hurts our exports I think everyone exporting was comfortable with an $.85 dollar.
