What right do you have to go around meddling, assassinating, and controlling all these other countries.. This is why the world especially the world without power has such an anti US feeling.

The shar fell because of the propaganda campaign of the current leader the supreme Ayatola. It was not in the intrest of the US to have a revolution of radical islam in Iran because it will breed terror, somthing Jimmy Carter didnt understand untill he lost an election over it.. The US has the right to give money to the shar and not to the Ayatola. If your rich you simply have bargaining power that you can use, its not force.
You make it sound like the US is not alloud to pick its frends. Do they not have the right to give billions and military equipment to isreal? Do they not have the right to give nothing to Iran. Do they not have the right to tell anyone that if they deal with iran then you cant deal with us?
People like you give the US hell for talking to saudi arabia but in the same breath you give them hell for not talking to Iran.

You clearly dont have a clue about what the CIA did to get the Shar IN.
The CIA actively formed and paid to oust a democratically elected leader and instill a hardline dictator who then used a secret police apparatus of such brutality that 1000's were vanished and killed. Thats 'Americas Friends' !! And its respect and desire for real democracy in the middle east.
The Ayatola and hardline uprising and radicalization of what was originally a pretty moderate country is exactly the kind of blowback thats to be expected.
And yes I do continue to point out the hypocrisy in the US demanding the world be democratic, while supporting (even killing democracy to install dictators) non democratic regimes and ignoring the democratic ones. Of course the US can support Israel, but realize that by supplying them with nuclear technology and weapons, they are making themselves the enemy of Israels enemies.

Its funny that you have not identified the strategy the US has to deal with the communist government of china. The chinese are using capitalism as fuel. It is working but the communists dont understand that the freedom they are allowing for capitalism to work is going to be the downfall of the communist party. As the wealth of the population grows the communists have less of a grip on society. Revolutions happen even when the population is poor, never mind if they are rich.

I think China wishes that fact to happen.. Of course theres hard line old guard who hold positions of power but it seems to me that China is slowly developing into a capitalist economy (well the US owes them 1.2 trillion so I guess they are learning !!).. Democracy may well come but improved living standards would be the main priority.

You can word it as hard line as you want but support is support. The CIA did not form and install anything. All they did was identify a power struggle within a country and essentially gave money to the party that they figured would be of the best intrest to the world. They can do what they want with thair money. Any other country could have given money or support to any other party within the struggle. The fact is that every other western nation knows that the US will alwase do the dirty work and put thair balls on the line for the worlds stability.
Were was europe when the US was installing all these dictators? If it was so wrong then why didnt europe denounce this behavior?

Ohh so you dont mind if China then secretly funds a private army within the USA to overthrow the elected official who comes in next ?? I imagine that 1.2 trillion would create quite a nice little secret police apparatus and control system. Lets ignore the known assassinations of leaders over the last 60 years by the CIA, so you then think its fair enough if any other government in the world assassinate any US president they dont like ?? If the US can do 'anything it likes' with its money then so can every country then ?? Special renditions for Bushes war crimes anyone ??
The US didnt 'identify a power struggle'.. They went in and made one, funded it, and deposed the democratically elected leader because they were nationalizing their oil interests. British Petroleum were right in there with them. This wasnt about world stability (in fact it has very much destabilized it) it was about cheap oil (again !!).
The USA more than any other existing country has directly meddled continually in other countries politics.. Yet screams to high heaven if China even takes care of Chinas economic policy to the detriment of the US !!!

The communist government of china controls the worst dictators on earth. North korea, old veitnam, Burma ect. At the time Thailand chose to side with the US and now i think they realize that it was the best decision they ever made and probably the only reason that there isnt a chinese installed dictator running the country.

The chinese govt can give Ralph Nader or Ron Paul all the money they want. The american people have lived free long enough that they know BS when they see it.
The US played the " not my problem" card in WW2 and all they got for it was the Pearl harbour attack. Why would any elected president of the US ever want to make the same mistake again. The US meddles with other countrys politics for the good of the world. The US wants to install and pay for a missle defence shield for western europe in Polland for the good of its allies. Europe will gladly take it as long as the US takes the heat for it which it is doing at its own expence. The US could just say f*ck europe, if russia or iran wants to start somthing then who the hell cares.

Bollox.. The US meddles with other countries politics for the good of the US.
And its that very attitude, that its acceptable for the US to blatantly meddle in other countries politics, without any checks and balances, against all forms of international law, and with no oversight or control. That is making the US so unpopular around the globe.
You have practically made my case for me.

If you actually read it, you would see that its referring to an internal CIA document (debrief) written by one of the actual coup planners.
I would also suggest some books, but I fear you might struggle with those.

made your case my a$$. Why did France and Canada elect pro american leaders after the start of the iraq war in place of anti american leaders. Jean Cretian was priminister of canada when he didnt support the iraq war and now he lost an election to steven harper who was for the iraq war. The same thing happend in France.
Why did Bush and Blair get re-elected after the war in iraq already started?
The US is gaining popularity among world leaders.

And that statement above has what to do with my post that its the US's self proclaimed right to meddle in any other countries politics thats creating so much anti US resentment globally ??
Lets say you were Iranian.. You already voted in one government who the CIA then came and over threw to put in a puppet dictator who totured many of the countries citizens and ran a tyranical government and secret police. and then you have a election coming up in the country that did this to you and one of the major front runners was happily on video singing 'Bomb bomb bomb.. Bomb bomb Iran'..
Now that would just make you all warm and fuzzy inside ?? And our media paints them as war mongering ?!?!
As to Bush getting re-elected.. Many could say it was because of the war he did get re-elected, and what a statement on the US that is. Of course now its becoming expensive for the US to be there they will pull out leaving the country in utter chaos because they dont have the money or the will to go and actually have a post war iraq plan (which would require perhaps 3x the troop levels for a few years) easy to start a war but not so easy to finish one hey ?? Wars cost lives but America wanted to just shock and awe and go home.
