Phuket Thailand

Ok as a first time visitor can anyone suggest where I should go in Phuket for "good" fake watches and the like? I realise Bankok is probably the place but is there any decent fakes around Phuket, you know the kinda watch that doesnt really look like a fake too much

They are around, but due to a crack down by the police they may not be on display. Just ask a few shops, and you'll find them.

Pretty much all of the places along Bangla that display watches at the front counter have little lock ups at the back of the shop or just around the corner.......

last Phuket trip (April) I bought a fake Tag Heuer Monaco watch from one of these guys.....left hand side going down to beach (all features..stop watch etc.. still working like a charm)..... approximately opposite the shopping centre.........has anyone one noticed that nearly all of the shop keepers post Tsunami are Indian now??? What's with that???

Always offer a very low amount first up and never go anywhere near halfway to their openning price...........and only pay in peanuts........seriously tho BHT500 for most watches is ample

I have collected at least one or more fake watch each time I visit Thai (and other asian countries).....I think I have about 30 or so now which I keep in a brown leather brief case (especially made for this purpose in brown aligator hide) bought from this balinese beach watch vendor in Candi Dasa many years ago who was more than happy to sell it to me for not much

I have changed the batteries in a few of them but funny thing is that they still all work.............maybe because i never wear them???

Just go into any watch seller in bangla and they will have a little lock up out back, my best tactic is take a thai girl with you, they will ensure you get the best deal.

i just bought 3. if you are walking out of soi eric, turn left. about 3 shops up there is a watch store. she has a room in the back. i bought 2 from here, a patek philipe, and a rolex that she sent out for and you could notice the difference in quality right away from the ones she had on display. she a burmese lady, very nice and patient.
i bought another patek on beach rd and having problems with it.

I bought a Rolex and a Tag in Karon and two Rolex in Beijing. Huge quality difference. The two from LOS are very good. The Rolex has all the right markings, perpetual movement, Serial #'s, 18k stamp on watch and band. Tag is the same. Chinese ones were cheap (about $3.00us for both) But good fun and work fine. My crews brag in the bar that they have the only boss that pours concrete wearing a Rolex.

I bought my Son a TAG and my Daughter a DKNY and if anyone tells them they are fake! I will have to run off to Iraq and hide!
