Clothe Shopping in Phuket
Hi Guys,
I'll be there in two weeks time and Im planning to travel light and bring only the bare essentials with me. Im thinking of getting my 'holiday wardrobe' over there, thanks to previous advice on this board and a couple of friends from home that have been there.
So I just wondered what it costs out their for decent quality t-shirts, shirts, shorts, trainers etc. I'm not really interested in the tacky, holiday, souvenir, touristy type t-shirts (although im sure i'll get a couple!). I'd like to pick up some decent quality stuff at hopefully bargain prices that I can also bring home with me, rather tha pay 'rip off britain prices' here! Can you get well know, GENUINE, brands over there?
Also, I dont want to dent my mongering budget too much!
Sorry, if this is a bit of a girly question for this forum!! Any help appreciated. Cheers.

If your after real brands and not worried about what you pay, then Central is your place. I'm not really sure how much you'll save though.
Big sizes arent too easy to come by, the biggest size jeans I've seen upstairs in Ocean has been 44.

The clothes stalls/market opposite Christines is hardly ever that busy and they will be all over you like a rash, trying to out do each other with the price, play the haggling game and walk away with 5 beer related (Singha, Tiger, Chang) T's for 75 baht each. They did me for a the first week. Then went again to the scrum and came away with 5 more (Nuke, Adibas and Reebux) for the same price for the second week!
No probs getting XXL (For a mate!!) laundry 5-10 Baht per T using hotel sameday return laundry! Leave the T-Shirts for the cleaners when you leave!

Dodger can you have a word with the nasty Australian man! He is picking on me again! OK OK I admit it. Sounds like something out of the London Clubbing scene but I went an 'E' too far!
Christins, Christins, Christins! I'll have to write it on a blackboard like Bart does at the start of the Simpsons, Christins, Christins, Christins.
Mav knows where Christines is Dodger, I've seen him in there! 55555

Yes Dodger, l was having a swipe (friendly of course) at Denvers spelling........you know any chance l get etc etc.
And Denver is right, l do know where Christins is as we hold our monthly Club 333 meeting there.....twice a week !
And yes l spotted Denver there......storming out of the establishment as a dejected beaten man, after being told that no LB's were on offer

For cheap clothes (non brand or copies) take a look at OTOP, lots of shops up and running there now and recently they also added a lot of small circular bars there. (E.g. have a drink while your wife or BG go shopping)
For quality t-shirts, MTB brand, drop by at Mai Thai Bar
