Its time..
Quick intro. I have lived in Korea and Japan, but have always wanted to check out Thailand. Did a litle research and have chosen Phukut (Patong). Wanted to avoid Bangkok. Seems that Phuket will offer the best of both. Great beaches and nightlife. Had a bad October, diagnosed with Cancer and broke up with the girlfriend. So, lying in bed before surgery I said to myself, "After I get through this I am gonna finally hit Thailand." So Fellas, I'll be in Phuket on Sunday. Been going through as much as I could of your great info here. Still have a few questions. How strict are some of the nicer hotels with bringing a woman back? (thinking of staying at the Royal Paradise) Secondly, I wanna party all night, but I ain't 20 anymore. Is there any legal (not street drugs) pick me up Thai style you can buy over the counter in a Thai drug store? In Japan they have alot of "genki" drinks to give you a boost. Kinda a high octane Red Bull? Thanks for any help. See you next week and I'll stop by the MTB. Oh, one final question. I have never been with a Thai woman, when I get there I may and this will be irrelevent but...I just met a hot Japanese girl who just got back from Phuket. Felt uncomfortable asking her this, so I'll ask you guys....Where do the Japanese girls on holidays hang out there?

gee.... you sure have had a bad time. A holiday will do you all the good in the world. Whilst other board members will tell you which hotels are girl friendly and which tablets to take ( I just get drunk, its the irish in me) I can tell you that you should have a great time in LOS as it never disappoints. Don't forget to call into the MTB and say goodday to the other BM.

Is the reason you call yourself Tripod the obvious reason.

Welcome to the board tripod, sorry i will not be much help with your questions but we had a nice BM called ashley who lived in japan, came to patong and picked up the japanese women, he did not seem to have too much trouble finding them so i am sure you will not either, i think he said they just loved it if you could talk japanese.
i also remember seeing quite a few jap women on the beach during the day, perhaps that should be your hunting ground.
enjoy your trip and hopefully i will see you over there sometime.
Simon

Found a picture of Ashley (Canadian) and his girlfriend from Japan. Can't remember her name Simon, she actually flew in after Ash had arrived to stay with him. A great couple and fun to be around as you rightly say. She enjoyed her time in Patong and certainly made the most of it.
Ash on the other hand, if you are reading this!! I am going to whoop you on the go-karts next time and you won't be able to do that special back wheel nudge that spun me into the tyres again because...........You won't be able to catch me!
Welcome to the board Tripod.

Red Bull etc
Welcome Tripod:
Here in Thailand they have Red Bull and several other Thai tonics such as Lippo. They are basically a syrup with high caffene kick and can be bought in any supermarket or corner shop.

Red Bull was invented in Thailand, Although its significantly stronger than in other countries, any of the redbull like concoctions should work well.
