Have never had champagne at New Year , but I guess some of the major stores would have it , no idea about price.

But if your are in the MTB for Hogmanay (Scottish New Year ) , I'll gladly drink some of your champagne.

nicke's a good businessman.
when the clock srikes 12, hell be walking around selling bottles of champagne.
he rooked me into one. didnt mind the 700baht, but found out i was the only one drinking it.
so a ton of shots and beers didnt mix well with a cheap bottle of champagne.
was puking in my gf's room at 5am, had to get up at 6am to catch a flight to upcountry, not good times!

yeah - the cheap stuff is quite sickly. Best buy it at Duty Free on the way into Thailand if you want decent quality. All the big supermarkets will have some decent stuff too.

The BGs actually seem to prefer the sickly sweet cheap plonk so don't waste the good stuff on them :P
