Do I need a VISA ?
Hello BM`s
Just a quick question, if you have a Diplomatic Passport (passport with a blue cover) do you still need visa in to get to Thailand?
Thanks…

I found this, but you really need to confirm the information.

Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Israel, Italy, Republic of Korea, Tunisia, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Philippines, Austria, Chile, Turkey, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland, Romania, Brazil, Croatia.
Holders of Mongolia diplomatic, official or service passport are permitted to stay up to 30 days without a visa.

Hi Lord
What I’m exactly interested in is:
I have diplomatic passport of United Nations do you have any information concerning this as I was told by my friend I don’t need but you know those are just words, for this time I was not able to find any proving official document which states this.

This has been a challange. I did find out that Georgia residents require a visa, I also stumbled on this;
4. DIPLOMATIC / OFFICIAL VISA
- Thai Embassies and Consulates-General may upon official request grant visas to diplomatic or official passport-holders who wish to assume duties at a foreign Diplomatic Mission or Consulate or International Organization in the Kingdom and their family members or who desire to enter the Kingdom on official duty.
- Supporting documents are Note Verbal and/or documents issued by the foreign government or international organization, certifying the identity of the person concerned and his/her purposes while visiting the Kingdom.
At this point, considering that there is really nothisg that says yes or no, you had better call them,---------I give up.
Good Luck

Thank a lot for help, I think the statement you mentioned above says yes, but as you already said better to call, I think the best way finding this out is to call my Travel Unit they will know for sure.

Sorry, maybe I am out of my league, but if you hold a Diplomatic pass you must have better sources to confirm what is neccesary than this board. I know a few guys with a Dip pass (Ambassadors), working for Foreign Affairs, and I am quite sure they know when they can use their Dip Pass and when not.
At least, using such a pass is part of the protocol, and the owners must know it. But those guys are in their 50's.

Yeah but the right amount of money buys a legit diplomatic passport..
I was quoted 40k USD and making myself available for some functions etc.. Also can be that providing suitable (high end) mailing and greeting space can change payment amounts..

Ok the situation is like this:
Each staff member who works as international staff for UN has this Passport called UNLP, it’s some kind of diplomatic passport but with the less privileges it’s not the same one issued to ambassadors, if you start working with UN you will also get this type of passport. Like I don’t need visa to enter Amsterdam and many other countries with whom UN has official Regulations, but I was not able to find Thailand under official list, but my friends who have this passport has been there without visa, like I talked to two of them yesterday and they both were swearing that they entered Thailand without visa using this passport.
So having this passport is not a problem you just need to work for UN that’s all
Cheers

You may find your friends came here and were given a 30 day 'visa on arrival'.. Thats what many people just come here on and do not do any work to get a visa in advance..
Depends on nationality as to who gets them but most western countries do...

If he is from Georgia, he does not qualify for a 30 day freebie
