Life, After returning form the LOS!
Hello all,
This is my first official post and introduction. I am 30ish and have recently returned to the US from my 1st trip to the LOS in early December. I spent 2 nights in BKK and the remainder in Phuket and absolutely loved it there. I was originally supposed to stay for 19 days. After a few phone calls I was there 25 days and still did not want to leave. I have not been able to stop thinking about the trip, the experience, and the wonderful TG's.
I find my self at work, drifting off to a better place (the LOS), all the time. I wish that I could stroll down a Soi and hang out for a while with a BG and head back home. OHHH.... thats right I am here, NOT there.
I am checking out the webcam at the MTB all the time, wishing I was there.
I know I was there, but that was before I found this site. Next year I will stop by and introduce myself.
Anyhow, am I suffering the Thai Blues or what? How long will this last? Besides the obvious, the next time I come back.
Any suggestions on how to deal with it or get over it, if it is possible. Another question how much longer will I have little interest in the women back home in the US? Yes, they are attractive, some of them. But it is not the same. I lose interest in NO time.
Looking forward to my return and meeting some new friends. Any advice or input would be appreciated.
Also, I used my cell phone when I was there and it seemed to be a very valuable tool for some ST during the day and early evenings from BG's that I had met the previous nights. A lot of text messaging but very effective. Curious if many other guests use the cell phones to their advantage?
Can not wait to return!

Keep your brain occupied.
Try to find something to keep your mind occupied. A hobby or a second job should do the trick. Chasing girls around town is fun too if you can. Fortunately, here in San Francisco there are lots of different kinds of gals you can have fun with. I actually live in Chinatown so there are lotsa' Asian cuties running around.
Other types too not far in the next neighborhood over. They're just not as easy to get and sometimes not worth the effort, but nonetheless - it will keep your mind off things at least.

My brain is occupied, with the LOS
I work a few jobs. I work my usual day job, selling computer hardware throughout the US (M-F). I also bartend at the two largest nightclubs in MN. I see plenty of available ASS and they have plenty of interest in me. After my return I have lost much interest in "chasing" that ASS though. I think that is my problem.
I am trying to "keep my eye on the prize" (the LOS), but it has been difficult. At this point all I want to do is make money and head back to the LOS.
Thanks for the input, Nid Noy.

Work was my outlet... I have a kind of manic personality, and in my mid 20's was also energetic and hyperactive to the point of being a bit over the top.. Luckily I channeled that into a business and the energy meant it was able to grow fast..
I would fly back overnight on china air and arrive at 5 - 7 am Monday morning (to get that last extra day) and then be at work as soon as I had a shower.. 100+ hours a week of manic paced work and there wasnt much time for anything else..

Hey C K,
I think I met you at the Summer Breeze. I'm from WI. When I first met you you were at the end of your trip and I asked you how many day trips you had taken in a month and you said 1. I thought to myself, how the hell do you stay in Phuket for a month and only take one day trip. What do you do all day? Well, as it turns out, I stayed there 3 weeks and didn't take any this trip so now I see how it can happen. Can't wait to go back again next year and take some of those trips I planned this year.

Dodger,
Yea I was there in late November. I think I got down there the 28th. I was staying on the highest floor. Next time I will ask for a lower floor if possible but otherwise I loved the place.

Hey Cooperspooky,
Yeah I do remember meeting you, I remember giving you crap about the Packers. Well as it turns out the Vikings basically suck this year also.
That is funny, the day trips just seem to be difficult to plan when you are having a blast. I am planning my return trip this year, probably around the end of November or early December this time. I am also telling myself that I will see and do more when I am there again, but we will see how that goes. Too many other things to do. Good to hear from someone that I met in the LOS.
Until next time.

Hi CK,
The LOS had a similar effect on me, and I am desperate to get back there again. The problem I have is that I’m a cautious about starting a relationship here in the UK and then trying to get clearance to bugger off to the LOS for a couple of weeks playing…erh…golf. Perhaps (subconsciously?) you too just don’t want anything to get in the way of your next trip.
All the best
Ferris

CK, the first month is the worst. After my 2nd tour, every night when my head hit the pillow, I was magically swept back to the sois of LOS, spending all my time asleep prowling the sois, partying, meeting girls, and making love. When I awoke each morning, I would be like "where am I? what town am I in? what hotel am I staying at? where is the girl I as with?" Then it would slowly dawn on me, that I was in my own bedroom in the US again. So it was a rude shocking way to wake up.
But as your mind fills up with the concerns of making your way in life, the little daily chores, headaches, and laughs, gradually I was sucked back into my normal life and normal dreams.
You have what we call post-LOS Blues, a very common phenomenon. The first months is the worst. After that it starts to get better. In 3 months it is just a nice memory, one that you won't forget, and then one day it is time to go on vacation again! Guess where you're going?!!!!

Thanks JayBee & ferris
Hello Ferris & JayBee,
The input is much appreciated.
I definitely will never fotget my intoduction to the LOS. NEVER!!!!! I am working on a plan to make the LOS, particularly Patong Beach, a VERY regular thing. It has been almost a month since my return to MN and ......the LOS is basically all I think about. Most of my friends back homed do not understand, but I could care less at this point.
I worked at the night clubs the last 2 nights and the only women I had any interest in were the Asian girls. I have passed up many blondes and brunettes (damn forongs), since I have been back. TOO many headaches and too much maintenance!!!!!!!!!! It is all different now. Not that, that is a bad thing.
At this piont I am not sure that I want to get involved with any of these women in the US. I do not want to damage any future plans or opportunities...the LOS.
Once again, chat later.

hola C K
hi everybody! I am a new comer in this forum.just got in.but I am not new in los at all. so its quite hard to get over it,its stronger than hangover.always leave your cell phone number <when in thail>but use a thai sim card its cheaper.3 mths will be enough to get interest in women back in your hometown.if you drop by MTB have a drink with nikie he is a great one.

Hi Chris,
You probably are suffering from post los blues, but it's quite normal after having such a great time there.
I have posted something which you will find in the Idle Chit Chat section of this forum, it may help you get over the blues.
