Belated intro and a question....

As it seems de rigeur to post an introduction before asking a question, and I haven’t got around to doing either yet as most of my questions had been answered already, I thought I might as well give it a go.

I’m 32, British by birth and Welsh by the grace of god, although I’ve been living in England for the last 13 years as a cultural missionary spreading light to the heathen. I guess I’ve been bitten pretty hard by the LOS bug as I’ve racked up 4 trips in the last 12 months or so and am about to embark on my 5th, although this will only be my second visit to Phuket as previously I’d mainly split my time between BKK and Pattaya.

Aside from LOS my interests include sleeping, eating and leaping tall buildings in a single bound. I’m an Aries, my inside leg measurement is 32” and I don’t like the smell of oranges.

And now my question…….

Which bar has the girls with the biggest t*ts?

Only kidding.

Actually I wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good language school in Patong? I’m hoping to be able to visit the Kingdom for an extended trip later in the year and would like to knuckle down and get to grips with learning Thai. Languages have never been my strong point and by nature I’m particularly lazy so I think I’d do better with formal lessons rather than trying to teach myself with books and CDs. I intend to be travelling around a fair bit during my stay and already know of several places in both BKK and Pattaya where I can arrange several weeks one-to-one lessons but I’m also planning to spend a bit of time on Phuket and so it’d be good if I could find somewhere there to continue my studies. Thanks in advance and apologies if this has already been covered but my searches didn’t turn anything up.

Patong Language School ( http://phuket-languageschool.com/ ) seem to be pretty good. I went to sign up a few years ago and they looked very professional, talked about one on one etc and the price was right. I got called back to work offshore and never followed up more's the pity, so I can't tell you if they delivered on their promises.

I paid for a course of 20 lessons with them a few years back, can't remember how much, but it was reasonable. 1 on 1 lessons each about 45-50 minutes long, they use the Linguaplus system.

1st ten lessons were great - had a brilliant teacher from changmai, and by the end of the tenth lesson we were having conversations as if I was going into car dealer or supermarket, etc. Then the teacher left, and the next teacher was of a much lower standard so I gave up.

It used to be "Captain Kirk". Not sure now.
2nd question about language schools: here I am not so well informed.
