Upmarket Bars/nightclubs etc
Guys,
I'm in the process of organising a short trip for a group of guys in a couple of couple of weeks. As I'm arranging the tour- golf, christins etc I have been asked if there are any more upmarket type clubs/karaokes etc in Patong. Or do they mainly only cater for the Japanese. I've done a bit of a search on the site but don't seem to have found anything. Thanks for any help

Cheers guys, found the home bar website and does look very flash.
Although, I was looking for a place similar with "entertainment", hostesses etc. Does this sort of a place exist in Patong. It's not a problem if not, I could find happiness in a paper bag, with the right girl. Cheers

Fantasia in Phuket Town should suit you fine, they also have VIP karaoke rooms.

If I am in Patong I always make the effort to pass by for a few cocktails.
Why...? 1. This is the best looking bar in Patong and deserves a following. I like it and hope it will become busier over time. I will keep on showing my support. 2. They make good drinks, and mix real cocktails. 3. Peter is a great host with always time for you. I know that will become more difficult when it is busy but still.... 4. Very comfortable. Sit back, relax, have a good conversation end be miles away from Bangla. Give it a try!!!

Most nights I bring my own company for drinks and conversations.
You going always on your own....??? Or.... find first your own company and than bring them 'Home'!

Joes Downstairs
If you want an upmarket place for cocktails and a bite to eat take them to Urthman's new place next door to the Ban Rim Pa in Kalim beach.It is a good spot for sundowners.

i highly recommend home bar. i found it my last trip and went in there a few nights to start out the night with my girl.
i will be there most nights this upcoming trip. the guy who owns it, an aussie is a very nice guy, nice to have a chat. my girl loves the place, which i do think ive gotten her accustomed to too many fancy places

I have been there only once and probably one of the nicest bars I ever been too, I wanted to check out the interior design, which is always interesting if you want to design your own place/bar.
If they added a bunch of hostesses I think they could do fairy well. Havent checked out Urtheman's new place yet.

Home Bar.. When it opened up I went along one night.. Was refused entry based on the fact I was wearing sandals !!! hmmm ok I think.. Bit much for a holiday destination joint..
So few weeks later happen to be wearing trainers.. Went along.. Let me in.. We were literally the only people in there !!! Guess thats were a door policy gets you !! I happened to be gently knocking the place one day and I was sat at a table with the guy that part financed it !! Opps.. After I removed my foot from my mouth he agreed that it had been a horrbile loos so far and they were trying to offload it at deep discount. La Bala thats opened looks pretty slick.. Also as said 'Joes' Robs new place..

There was a high end club in the penthouse (top 2 floors) of the Patong tower about 12 years ago. Started by "little" Lary (not big Lary from Rock Hard) and his friend Karen. The also had hostesses. It didn't last 6 months. Afterthat both Little Lary and karen went working as manager in Rock Hard.
