hi everyone ..
i'm coming over to phuket from UK . sating in the deevanapatong . arriving 9th march and staying till 19th ..
going to have to book a short time room off site i suspect for fun and frolics due to having company with me :P (daughter and her b/f coming as well for a "normal" holiday) and watching Dad get up to no good would not be ideal .. lol

1st time to thailand .. so very green behind the ears . and have no idea where to or not to go ...
so if there any advice for a newbie ..
or any other peeps out there on these days give me a yell ..

Take a walk down to the Mai Thai Bar , Nicke and any of the other BM's in town will be happy to have a few beers with you and point you in the right direction.

also on another quick note .. while i'm being dumb :P lots of ppl on the forums going on about "LOS" .. what and where is this ..

BMs are board members, people on this forum, generally friendly.
LOS is Land of Smiles, normally due to the pleasant attitude of the thais, but I think, more often the silly grin on BM's faces who are having the time of their lives!

If you look at the first few threads in the "Newbies area" , you will find "stickies" , these are posts that are always there and give advice to new members. One of them is a list of abbreviations , and another is titled "Must read for all newbies" , these 2 posts will give you a lot of valuable advice and help you understand a lot of the "shorthand" that BM's (Board Members) write about LOS (Land of Smiles) , otherwise known as Thailand.
