Hi all,

Hope I didn't miss this info but went through Werwolf's hotel post and other posts and didn't find the info. Perhaps that is a bad sign?

Plan to make my first trip to Patong Beach next month. Does anyone have info on The Beach Resortel. Is is GF and does the typical room have a ocean view? It is one of the few hotel on the siammaps.com map that is on the beach side of Beach Road, is near Bangla Road and has a very reasonable price starting April 1. Don't see many other options on the beach close to Bangla and none in that price range. Any other suggestion for a beach front hotel?

If I can't find a place on the beach I may try Expat or Summer Breeze and settle for being close to Bangla. Gotta keep those priorities straight...

send them a booking request from the Thailand hotels link on the forum header up above and ask them 2 things while you request availabilty.

Do they have a joiner fee?

Can you get one large bed, king or queen, in the room?

That will give you an answer and they usually reply pretty quickly at this time of day.

Then if the answers are favorable and you make the reservation print out the e-mail to avoid any misunderstandings at the resort.

I arrive in Phuket on April 10. Lots of board members (BM's) there at that time.

Oh well, so much for the ocean view.

If I ever get my plans together I will be there the 16th or 17th.
