Thanks for the information sundancekid. I have no experience of Delphi, but I have been programming Java for about 5 years, (and Struts, some SQL and XSLT).
Had a feeling that the big consulting companies took all contracts these days, but good to hear this is not the case and that there is room for freelancing. Are the freelance jobs by contact or are there many contracts up for grabs out there? How hard was it to get your business going? Are you mainly building Client/Server solutions? I assume that your clients are mostly small/midsize companies?
Hope you don´t mind me asking all these questions, but you have my dream setup and I have never spoken to anyone doing it before. Right now I am tied up in Europe, but I will to do what you are doing. Long live the Internet.
