Oh no, yet another n00b!
This presentation is a bit late since this is not my first post on this board and the timing might not be the best since there seams to be a concern about to many newbies, but anyway. Went to LOS in the beginning of this year and it was an unreal experience! Beautiful girls everywhere, great food and paradise nature, almost to good to be true. I knew this was the first trip of many.
When I got home I knew I wanted to go back to LOS and live there and I wanted to do it right away. After some thinking and some thorough research of this forum the challenge gradually dawned on me (much thanks to the BMīs insightful entry's).
Slowly I have come to accept that, unless I have some really good fortunes in the stock market, I will probably have to work in Europe for another 20 years or so until I have enough money to (semi) retire. I donīt wish my life away dreaming about the twilight years, so I plan to visit LOS regularly until then. It sucks to only be able to go to LOS for a few weeks each year (right now a few months a year feels like a minimum), but that's the best I realistically can do.
Since I am a runner I hope to take part in a hash, (but I think I will get my exercise even if I miss it ). I wonīt be back in LOS for a while, but when I go I hope to see some of you over a cool beer at MTB.

It is a great half day trip and a good way to meet people.
For the rest I only can say: I know how you are feeling, I think the majority of the BM's do.

Thanks Malaysian. YES I do want to enjoy the rides and I donīt want to be short on money in a place where it is scarce and hard to make, like LOS.

Thanks Raval. Yeah I am looking forward to meeting the people on the board in person and I figure that a hash would be perfect for that.

Welcome on board hooked. Seems LOS really hooked you. Bt donīt worry about that, you are not alone with that. Good to hear that you still with the feet on the ground. Well, maybe at least on the way back to it...lol

Thanks, Shark,
Yeah, I am hooked. I must admit being swept of my feet good, but I think I am back up, (though if I had written this a month ago I might not have sounded very balanced)

Welcome to the board. It is good to hear that the board has been useful to you in realising that it isnt easy to just up and move to LOS, without proper financial backing.

Thanks Stevem and Jim,
I now realize the challenge in moving to LOS and
it is nothing I would do without financing and a
exit strategy.
I want to enjoy and I donīt want
to live the rat race in Paradise

Thanks BigBill,
I do miss paradise, but will LOS be paradise if one lives there full time and is not on vaccation, (with a lot of cash to burn)?

My experience is that life is not as much fun anywhere mate unless you can afford to do what you want to do. I have enough funds to live in LOS but would not do it as I have a great life where I am. I prefer just to have a couple of 2/3 week holidays there each year and that way I never get tired of it and I am always looking forward to my next trip.
I hope you get to live your dream.
