Hey Smiley
This might wipe the smile off your face ?
If your hotel is the Holiday Inn Resort in Patong... it appears that no joiner fee is applicable, they just don't allow guests - at all!
Check out the posting in newbie area by 'Baz - non guest friendly' & clik on the link.
You'll have a good time in the short stay hotel rooms - wink, nudge !

You may be able to cancel without a serious penalty and choose a more GF hotel. When I payed in advance for a hotel in Pattaya and decided to bail early they refunded the difference in cash! If I'd known I would have bailed sooner - moral = ASK!

Banthai http://www.phuket.com/banthai/
just stayed here 2 nights:
one of the worst stays i can remember in thailand.
paid 3700 for deluxe pool access room. nothing special at all
in the afternoon yesterday my gf's friends came over tog o swimming and we treated like criminals, security guard following them and me!! after i met them out front and stated they were there to swim. now, some bm's have seen these girls and they dress very nice, and nothing outlandish. not walking around dripping with gold or tattoos
then everytime i went to sign for drinks or anything my whole stay it was like going through a background check!!
and the worst happened this morning. the phone rang at 7am asking if i check out today, i say yes. they then say they come check mini-bar! at 7am! i asked what time it is, reply was 7am and i then screamed my lungs out and hung up on them
needless to say i wouldnt stay with them again
the only thing nice i can say is there are so many hot jap-chinese girls walking around the hotel
(marc26 17.04.2006)
Are you sure this is where you want to stay?

No Joiner Fee
The hotel Noi and I stayed at had no joiner fee either. Just a big sign behind reception saying "No unregistered guest allowed at all". This did not phase me as I was with Noi, but it would have been a real let down and spoiled my whole holiday under different circumstances.
The holiday inn is a nice hotel after the post tsunami refurbishment but personally I would simply not stay there if I wanted to enjoy the benefits of a wayward lifestyle in LOS! It is off limits to BGs entirely.

First Timer in Phuket
Brothers, I will be in Phuket in mid-May and would appreciate some help. I am staying at the Andaman Resort and was wondering how to get to Grand Pearl / Christin for some soapy. I cannot go LT as the home minister and other relatives are there for some family gathering and golf. I can most probably slip out during the afternoon and would like to experience the soapy pleasure. Hope for some help. Will post FR from successful visit(s).

I'd do as IJ suggests and take a tuk tuk
If you really want to walk to Cristins and you are staying at the Andaman Beach Resort, then its going to take around 10/15min.
Leave the hotel and turn right at the exit on to Rat u Thit Rd heading towards Bangla Rd. Go past Bangla and you will see a large purple painted building on your side of the street. Thats it

hey everyone, just goy back from Phuket. it was more than one can take in and enjoy in a lifetime! wanted to thank everyone for the info and share some new info on the Holiday Inn. I did end up staying at the Holiday Inn at Patong in the Busokan villa wing. I would say that it is one of the nicer resorts i have stayed in. It is not really a Non-GF place. I was able to bring a bar girl everynight no problems and no joiner fee! I think the thing is that they do not want guest to bring any Bar girls into the hotel until most of the guest are asleep. I usually got back into my villa at the hotel post 12midnight. the hotel security just ask me my room number and name. I do know that they do frown on having your BF hang out at the hotel during day time hours.. Hope this helps!
