Patong in September

Hi All,

I have been to Phuket three times now but always in feb - march. While I am not to much a newbie I am now going to try September. I know its the wet season. I have checked on the weather and this is a massive subject, so i'm not going to ask about that one. I just wont expect the weather to be anything other than what it is going to be. My question is
Are all the bars are open as usual and all the fishing trips and long tails still running. Will tiger and safari still be open and busy? I have spoken to one of my old mates and he is coming this time. I just want to make sure I dont paint a Febuary picture for September, if you know what i mean.

Tiger will always be busy, so no worries there. Safari, well that's up to the MiB. If left alone it will be rocking every night / morning of the week.

Cool Wet month but good fun

September is generally one of the wettest months but all the night life is open and there will be enough girls to go around.

Fishing trips and longtails will be weather dependant because of the storms that sometimes hit the area. You will have to take it on a day by day basis.

When people say that September is a wet month, what exactly does the weather do? Does it p1ss down with rain for a while and then get sunny, or is it usually overcast with sporadic showers?

Is Koh Samui any better?

Cheers for link, info websites are always welcome.

It's when people post links promoting their own sites for free advertising that people get upset

I think last October was an anomaly, and it carried over well into November. Think it rained almost two weeks straight at one point. Hopefully, this year all will be back to "normal".

Just a question. Why did a girl that i met in march go out with me for four days and not ask for anything in return? I did not buy her anything just took her to an island and out for drinks. She is the most good looking girl I have seen over there and owns her own bar (not the lease tho) she does not work in patong ! she's all mine. MINE MINE MINE!!! Anyway , till I go home. Any one else found someone like this. Is she prepping me for next time !!! I cant post a pic as i dont think its right if i have not asked her

well, there is a possibility that you are the most handsome guy shes ever seen
all joking aside, she might want money but shes taking a risk.
instead of coming out askign for money, which most wont, she may be hoping that you give her a "present" at the end
if you dont, the worst to come out of it is she got a little holiday, so she doesnt lose too bad!!

but in my experience, along with most of bm's, especially if shes in the bar scene, she'd aaprreciate a few baht

For what it's worth September is my favourite time to visit. Not too hot for fat blokes, so no rashes around my dangly bits! Rain hammering down on the wriggly tin roof of the Patong Villa while I am snuggled up to the future Mrs Denver pushing her further and further down the bed.

Splishing-and-a-Splashing in the pool in my armbands and noseclip in the rain. Giving out the occasional girly squeal of pleasure ("Weeeeeeeee He He! Etc) knowing I am being paid to be here! The gentle squish of tepid water between my toes in my flip-flops on the way to a half empty (or is it half full?) MTB for a coke and a smoke.

Lots of girls and not so many Hansum Falang chaps! Cheap! Yes, I am really! All my T-shirts, DVD's, wonky watches and tailoring at half the high season prices.

Yep, I like my Septembers in Paradise and funnily enough! Even the stunners who didn't want to know me in April are all my bessy mate in September at half plice! Funny that!....................Sorted

lol ruby. just what i was thinking. I would of course expect her to wait for me for 50 weeks until i go back there. Just like i would wait for her over in the UK. Cant wait for sept now only 18 weeks left. Bringing my mate with me to show him what its like. we will most prob start at mtb and see what happens

Whatever happens it will be hot, The beer will be cheep and the women still look good. What else can you want

I need to get back to los. I was hoping to go this year but due to moving to Germany i am not 100% sure i will. Still we all live in hope dont we . i was out in Thailand at the end of the rainy season a few years ago and i know its a little diffrent but it was nice. When it rained it cooled you down a little.

Whatever happens you'll have a good laugh.

I'll be there in early Sept as well this time, will have to catch up for a beer or 4 I have been watching the Calendar, slowly more Sept names are being added so it should be a blast

Last time during Oct (2004) it rained once for 45 mins the whole week and a bit we were there, kinda wished it would rain more to cool things down
