About time I said hello.
Well, its better late than never, so I thought I would get out of my lurking mode and start contributing to this excellent forum.
My first visit to LOS was only last December, ventured back again in May and will return in July, this time for 2 months. So it’s fair to say I like the place. First time to MTB was just before Xmas. I arrived a bit early at about 8pm had a couple of drinks, played all the games, got zapped by Nicke, fell off my stool.. just all the normal things that happen at MTB. Latter on a few more people arrived, then the bell started ringing and ringing and ringing. I even gave it a few gongs myself. By midnight it had rung 16 times (as indicated on the whiteboard not my memory which was shat) I somehow got back to my hotel. Soi Eric’s bg’s also substitute for good GPS navigation. The May visit was great. I managed to see many places and got to know some local Thai people very well. It is truly a beautiful county with happy people. The only time that I have ever been worried was in the taxis on open roads. The speed some of them go at is frightening I will be back in 3 weeks and intend to visit MTB regularly so it would be good to meet any BMs visiting.

Hi Mystery
Welcome to the forum. When you next go to the MTB,introduce yourself to Nicke and he in turn will point out other BMs. You will get to meet some great guys. I have more friends in LOS than I have in my home country.

Thanks for the welcome everybody. For those who asked, Brisbane is my home. I'm counting down the days to getting back to LOS. I've read about BMs sufferring post LOS blues and I've been going through it.. It's real isn't it. Looks like I will be shouting a few beers. Your on IJ.. Aussies will always outdrink the Irish.
