Another newbie

Hi All
Been reading the forum for a couple of months so I figured it was about time to introduce myself.
First of all thanks for all of the great info here, am so glad to have found this forum prior to planning a trip to Los. I had originally planned a trip around Aug. / Sept. to do some diving in the Similians but thanks to the info I have gathered here I have moved the trip to Dec. Thanks Seafox for the great post on your trip.
My question:planning on coming the first part of Dec. but haven't pinned down exact dates yet. How far in advance should I start making reservations as I know this is a busy time of the year but not sure how booked up things get.
Thanks for all of yor help
Ding

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
As I am very new to this I may need a little coaching to help me out with the proper etiquette. As I have been doing my research through out the forum I see there are lots of people that are very knowledgeable on certain subjects, in this case diving in the area. What is the proper procedure to contact a BM with particular questions? Should I open a thread and wait to be acknowledged? Not sure if it's ok to send a unsolicited PM?
Thanks again for all the great info.
Ding

No problem Ding....I have had more than 100 dives off Phuket,Burma Banks Similans + Krabi region etc so have a reasonable knowledge of the diving scene......

You can send me a pm with your questions......be as specific as you can if you want valuable answers.......

Hi Ding,

You can PM me also about scuba diving questions. Just go to Members list and find the board name of the person that you want to PM, click on it, and that will open up a new window that you can PM the person from.

Glad you liked the trip report.

If you are going to be there over Christmas and New Years you should start making your reservations now.

I know the feeling. Glad I can hold my breathe for over 2 minutes.

You can buy a spare air IJ, holds about 48 breaths. Either that or get an O2 tank and put the tube in the corner of you mouth. Can you here the BG now, "Honey, what that for?". Then the next night as her eyes start to glaze over thinking about the night before."You no forget tank, right?"

Sometimes my tongue gets tired and one lady last tour ground herself against me so hard that she bruised my lower lip. It was sore for a week, had to keep putting the mouth of a cold beer bottle up against it.

Cool Welcome Ding

Early December is not too hectic for hotels but book as early as you can to get discounts.Diving will be good by then and all sites open. Also flights are cheaper the earlier you get them (generally).

Feel free to PM me any time with queries.
