Hello Everyone,
Chinky from Puerto Rico by way of Japan. Making my first trip to Phuket and haven’t been in Thailand since the early 90’s. Most of my time was in Pattaya and a few weeks in Bangkok. Sadly all my time was working so I really never had time to enjoy. This will be my first time in Phuket (Patong) and hopefully arrive on the 13-14 Jul for a week. First actual vacation in two and a half years…
I have been browsing your forum and thank you for all the great information. I’m looking for a nice hotel with a delicious pool bar so I can veg out and have a margarita (few) ready. I had my eyes on Banthai Beach Resort & Spa but now that I’ve seen that they charge for guest, would anyone recommend any other hotel (guest free) with a great pool bar, next to the beach and also a jump; skip away from the party areas. Sorry for being so long winded…
Again thanks for your forum and any assistance you can offer…

hi chinky, you might have to go for a lower star rated hotel
the higher star rated hotels cater more for couples and familys and so theyre not very bar-girl friendly
there is a list of girl friendly hotels if you do a search
another way would be--to book your origional hotel and book a cheper one too (lamai inn--or lamai hotel maybye)-- and use it as a place for taking back your girl for the night

Welcome Chinky
Friend of mine used the Patong Bay Garden Resort and had a good time.
He had girls back but don't know if there was a joiner fee.

Thanks Iltis, I’m really looking forward to it. Now it's time to plan my way down and start looking for the perfect spot to release some stress. I’m going mil air to Singapore so I will probably have to make a hotel reservation the day prior to arriving. I just hope I get some type of discount on such a reservation…
