G'day All,
Will be visiting Phuket in September with my two bros, was last there 4 years ago but had the 'handbrake' with me, this time solo.....giddyup. Quick question, I usually like getting on the piss with the boys early in the piece and worry about chasing sheilas later on in the night.....anyhow, do the local blokes like drinking and having a good time with farangs.....or do they avoid us because we are chasing their girls. Welcome to the board and sure you'll have a fun time without the 'handbrake' - nice way of putting it! As far as your question on the local blokes enjoy drinking with farangs - yes they like to drink with farang blokes ----- as long as its the farang paying! Stick to the sheilas mate - and have good time.

Hi Ted
Welcome to the board.
 There is plenty of day time drinking to be done on Soi Bangla.The bars open at 0900 and stay open.  Good places for afternoon drinking are The Kangaroo Bar,The U2 Bar (right next door),the Aussie Bar (directly opposite) and the Shipwreck Bar (up the street.)You will meet some characters in any of these.
