Phuket Thailand

First of all I would like to say thank you to everyone who keeps this site up and running. I have already recieved alot of useful information.

I made my first visit to God's Country in May and spent all 16 days in Pattaya. I had an amazing time and cannot believe there is a place like this on earth. I will be returning to LOS in September and October for a full 3 weeks. This time around I will be no just lock myself away in Pattaya. I hope to spread the wealth visiting Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui while revisiting Pattaya. I am truly excitied to be able to return to God's Country and would love to make a stop at the Mai Thai Bar and meet all of the colorful characters I see on this message board.

The info on this site is very useful. The stories are hillarious. I will make my 1st trip to Phuket this week.

Then I will spend some time in Pattaya. I already know this will become a memorable event.

If I can remember anything

Yeah, Pattaya was great but I can't wait to check out some other places. I love the beach so I am looking forward to Phuket. I also plan on moving to LOS sometime in the future and trying find the region thats the best fit for me. From what I hear it might be Phuket but I'll have to wait until my visit before I make that call. I majored in English and considering being a TEFL teacher. We'll see!

Would have been killer if our schedules would have allowed us to travel at the time this trip, but there always the next trip. I will be sure to take a lot of photos and give you a trip report once I get back.

Hi Njustice22 we'll be in Patong at the end of September...we're moving there for a year or two...we'll be bringing our youngest son who we have booked into the QSI International School Phuket.

My eldest son is married to a Japanese girl and they are planning on going to Japan to live...Luke has ideas of teaching english to preschoolers...he hasn't got any degree but says he's going to get a fake one in Thailand!!

If you're in Patong end of September/October would like to catch up for a beer at the MTB

How old is your son? Has he ever been to Thailand? The only down fall to teaching English is the salary. I heard they don't pay very well.

I will contact you guys for sure and we will meet up at MTB! Nothing better than a cold Thai Beer.

My son is 13 y/o will be 14 next month...yes he's been to LOS several times with us as well as Laos...he's really looking forward to moving to LOS and going to the new school...

Couldn't tell you how much you would earn teaching english but I would guess not a lot...and there is the question of the work permit...difficult to get...maybe not so hard for teachers, might be easer for them...
