Blasting thru Phuket,3 nights $1000. Suggestions for a rollicking good time ?

Firstly, FANTASTIC board..! Some real rockstar BMs here..

So here's the plan, my mate and I are blasting thru Phuket shortly. All we have is 3 nights and 4 days, and enough red bull to keep us up that long...starting Friday morning. I was wondering what the old hands would recommend two capitalist hippies do with $1000 (each)in Phuket. Assuming we get the best "BANG" for our buck.. ??

And that does'nt include a sports car, and apartment (highly guestfriendly) on Bangla road. Maybe if everyone can answer a "what would you do in a $1000 weekend ?" It'd be a great !

Also, does anyone know if Phuket has any Psychedelic music scene ? Any bars play trance ? hard house ?

Also , my twisted mate has this 'greek god' fantasy where he wants pictures taken with some 5-6 scantily clad ladies feeding him grapes. Is that do-able ??

Hi Pinkrain and welcome to the board. With a grand in hand for 3 nights you can do just about anything you want in LOS. Thats about 40k Baht and will definitely get you a good time.

The Patong Villa is a very guest friendly hotel and is very close to the action on Bangla Road. Getting a good few girls like that shouldn't be a major problem either if you offer a nice reward. Tell them at the bars and go go's what you want to do and they will say yes or no straight out.

With regard to the music scene I cant help you there as I'm not really into music sorry.

Reccomend bar fining a group of friends from a gogo.. Look at about 500 baht bart fine and 1000 - 2000 per girl to go.. Get lots of drink and a private pool somewhere.. Let the drinks flow anhd all happen naturally..

Welcome to the board, just to add something, buy some grapes, grab a huge banana leaf and a big fluffy pillow, tie some bed sheets around yourselves and walla... You are a greek god in the tropics....

$1000 is a lot of money for 4 days... You'll def be more then secure... It works out to be about 40,000baht if its US$, if its Singapore $ then about 24,500 baht, Aussie $ More than the Singapore $, less than the US, if its Hong Kong dollars you certainly won't have enough, if its euro's you'll be fine and if its pounds you'll most certainly be in heaven...

Hard house like the hard house you get in europe and australia, sorry boys you're not gonna find that here, in Koh Samui you have the Green Mango, they play good Hard house and trance sometimes... There's quite a few places that have trance in phuket, but its not very good... Or as i like to call it, "gay asian techno"... (No insult intended to homosexuals)

If you're flexible in your music tastes then no worries, you'll find plenty of places to go and have a great time... If ya like house thats easier to come by here but most the clubs like to mix house with hip hop, rock and r&b... Not like other countries where the music type in the club remains the same... Once heard a DJ here mix tiesto's traffic with a 50 cent song .... Blew my mind, was the strangest thing i ever heard... But i'm used to things like that now...

OK if I was in your shoes thius is how I would do it:-

1) After that long flight from Israel(?), I would want to destress and rejuvenate so I would head for a proper massage spa place. There are plenty of these probably set you back 500 baht.

2) Thailand is renowned for its cuisine so for my first lunch I would have something simple, like a bowl of tom yam say 80 baht.

3) head down to the beach hire a chair and sunshade 50 baht.

4) Either parasailing (800 baht) or jetski (800 baht), maybe both (1600 baht)

5) go for a soapy (2000 baht) massage

6) If you like seafood you are in the right place! Some nice fresh lobster or crab washed down with some beers (1000 baht - probably less)

7) Go and have a laugh at the antics at Simon Cabaret (?)

8) Head to MTB and ring the bell (2000 baht).

9) head to on of the famous nightspots and blow another 2000 baht.

End of day 1 and you have blown nearly 10k baht

Day 2 and you are up early for the day trip to Phi-phi (1400 baht) this will include meals and soft drinks. Do some snorkelling and a few other adventures.
Get back to hotel late afternoon and have a shower.
Minibus will pick you up to take you to Fantasea about 6.30 (don't bother with the meal here - eat later) (1500 baht) go for the VIP seats, worth the extra cost.
Head back to Patong, pick up a meal (500 baht).
Blow another couple of grand by ringing the bell in another bar, and blow another couple of grand in another nightspot.

End of day 2 and you have spent another 9k baht

Day 3 head up to a different beach, take a tour of the island, elephant trek, so many different things you could do.
Come back late afternoon and meet up with your goddesses and do your photoshoot.
hmm run out of ideas for now....

Ah ! Another fascinating contribution from Thailand to the world ! "gay asian techno"... ! I've experienced it in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo... Though I dont like it much, its cheezy and cool ! Anybody know of any good movies chronicling Thai nightlife ?? Kindof a Thai "Trainspotting" or "Lock Stock..." or "Go"...

Cool list Coolhand. Personally I would probably skip the sightseeing (and Fantasea and Jet skis) but rather concentrate on the drinking and mongering.

Day 1: Hit the bars and get a feel for the place. Will set you back a coupla thousands. Also, scope out the go-gos. End the night / morning at Safari.

Day 2 would be the ULTIMATE party day. After hitting some bars, head to the go-go of choice and start stuffing bath down the girls’ underwear. Talk to the mama-san and explain your scheme to take multiple girls home. Buy the girls drinks and tip generously. Should be an interesting night.

Day 3: Whatever you have left in terms of energy and baht.
