Prices, places in Patong for couples
Hi guys!
Sorry, I am sure this has all been asked before, but... 1 - Anyone recommend any specific bars by name in Patong that are renown for girls willing to go with couples? 2- What's the going rate in Patong for the girls in November? I did read one thread about prices, but it seemed to mainly focus on Bangkok prices. Also, I presume prices in Patong tend to fluctuate quite a lot, depending on the seaon... Thanks!

Mike,
I really don't want to pick a fight, and I know that very often newbies' questions may seem dumb to regular Phuket visitors/residents, but please try to be patient with us ignorant newcomers. If our questions are really so irritating, perhaps you should just keep away from this section - it is the newbies section, afterall, and I think that does give us a certain right to ask questions that reveal a complete ignorance about the scene in Phuket! I should add that I did do a search, but there are a hell of a lot of threads out there, many of which are either not very specific or out-of-date. As I said in my original post, the one thread I did find referring to prices seemed to mainly quote prices in Bangkok - and from what I can gather, prices seem to vary quite a lot depending on season, location etc, etc. Additionally, we are a couple, which, I suspect, could mean a different tariff... Having a rough idea of what the going prices are helps not only us, but everybody else too as it avoids rates being unecessarily jacked up because newbies are too dumb to know what the correct price is... Similarly, I couldn't find any threads that actually named any specific bars that are renown for being couple-friendly. I did see a post saying that Christins is couple-friendly, but that is a massage parlour...

I like what you said here. It is easy for anyone to say search the previous threads and these days anytime any newbies asks a quiestion the first few responses all seem to say - Search - Search - Search, then the next lot of threads all complaints about newbies no searching and wasting memebers time and patience. But I thikn you are right, many newbies do search but dont find the answer to their question. This is a wonderful Forum and you will learn alot from it over time as many of the senior memebers are very helpful if you show them the respect they deserve. I can tell you from experience that our trips to LOS over the last 2/3 years has been made all the more enjoyable by the advice and suggestions made by many of the members. This has been by asking questions and just reading the threads every couple of days or so. Now to your question. We are a couple and the trick to finding a willing and more important a suitably nice BG is to get to know the bar staff as they are a wealth of information. We tend not to be regualrs of Bangla road other than to walk up and down it have a few drinks and just watch the newbies faces. We tend to go to some of the bars close to Bangla road and we have made good friends with a few bar owners and bar staff. They can be very good at finding the right BG for you if they dont have any willing BGs at thier bar. So i agree with the message above you dont need to look for a particular bar just find one that you like and then dont be shy just tell them what you are looking for. Prices can range though depending on the BG and like anything else its up to you what u feel is the right price - we however dont argue over a couple of hundred Bahts as its bugga all in our money. But above all make sure you are booked into a good hotel with no guest charge as from what I have read here you can pay the hotel more for getting the gilr in than the cost of the girl. Also stay away from Chritins as its not only a rip off for couples but the service is pretty basic and you can find a girl so much more friendly at a bar. Andrew

Oops! No idea where I got the Mike from! My message actually was referring to Irish Johnny's post, not Nicke's - my humblest apologies to all you Mikes and Mike sound-alikes! LOL!

The real issue here is that a forum is not the ideal place to try to centrally hold information. A forum by nature is for discussions, it is not a database or central repository.
Searching on the forum and wading through post after post that you have no idea whether it will be relevant or not can be a big waste of time with no guarantee that you will find what you are looking for and whether the info is current or not, which the OP pointed out. I'm not surprised that most newbie's ask repeat questions. Ideally you would use a Wiki that would be publicly updated with the latest info.....now there's an idea!!
