Phuket Thailand - "New" Member

I want to take the opportunity to introduce myself. Even though I have been a member for 1.5 years and have read forums frequently I just recently started posting replies, so it only fair that I post a small introduction.
I have been to Thailand 5 times over the past 3 years. Each time was for business, but with some time for fun. Each time my customer in Thailand (a woman) has taking me to one establishment or another with lady entertainment. This includes massage parlors, karaoke clubs and shows. Also I have had time to sneak out or stay a day extra for exploring Eden Club (love that place) and BG.
Even with the experience and broad exposure that I have, I still consider my self a newbie. Senior Newbie. BTW Senior neither refers to my age nor my Spanish heritage - I am from Denmark living in USA (20+ years).
In October I will be back in Thailand for 2 x 3 days surrounding a business trip to Singapore and Vietnam. During this time I will be in Bangkok to really explore.
I am very much of a planner and have grand plans for my activities while camping out in the Sukhumvit area. After I return from my trip I will provide a complete report and let all in on the details of my plans. There will be a number of steps that I will be taking to make this a different (and more productive) experience. Some of my ideas have been mention in this forum and others have not (or I am not good a searching). I will let you all in on the details and which ones worked and which did not after the trip. I will tell you this now, I have spent days shopping and preparing for the venture.
To those who may be required or are asked to travel to any country on SE Asia, make an attempt to fly THAI as stopovers usually does not cost extra giving you some time in BKK at a minimum expense.
To those who post real information about the nightlife in Thailand you are providing a great service to those who are just getting started. Without this forum I would not have been able to experience what I have.

welcome to posting on the board Mr DK.......glad you have finally decided to get involved rather than just ead.....lots of member/lurkers about and % wise very few are posters.....so it's nice to hear that we have given you some good info and helped you enjoy your trips a little more........

I am considering buying a VIP membership at the Eden Club.
Is there anyone on this forum who has done that?
Recommend or not?

Don't have one. To be honest i thought about it as well... But then again, would it really be worth it??? I think its 20k for the membership, giving you 10 girls (which would be 5 sessions) and half off drinks... Don't remember if a bottle of something is included in the membership or not. But really, how much do you drink in eden??? Not much thats for sure. Maybe 2 at the bar before you make your selection and another two when you're done. and if you decide to take a little break in your session one drink for you and one for each lady.

Totals about 7 drinks... 5 sessions without tip is already 18k plus tips would take you above or just about to 20k. So unless you really intend to be a regular at eden then it would be worth it. Plus how long does the membership last..?? If you're not going to regular the place then there really is no need to become a member.

I have had some email communication with EdenPapa (Marc) over the past few days and he said that the main benefit is the ability to reserve. He said that if a VIP member wanted girls already reserved by non-VIP the VIP will succeed. He also said that the free ladies allowance can be applied to take-away, only paying the difference. He suggested to stop by in the morning between 10:45 and 11:00 when all the ladies are there. make the selection(s) for take-away and came back to pick up at 10PM. The membership is good for a year. The beverage discount to me has near no value.
