Here is Nanook

Hello BM's,

Just got my account validated. I am Nanook and live in The Netherlands. Have been reading this forum since the last few days.

Have been in Thailand a few times before butnever able to go walking as we call it over here.
Now I plan to be in Patong approx November 12 until 17. Just after a business trip to Singapore. Not too long, but maybe enough to get a nice taste of it. Although I found already quite some answers to questions I have related to our favorite hobby (as it seems), I still have quite a few of them. Just wonder on which thread I can put them.

As for accomodation, I am doubting between Casa Summer Breeze, K-hotel or Pating Villa. What is recommended by you experienced experts?

I will definetely will show my face in the MTB, once I am there. That's it for now.

Enjoy walking,
Nanook

Hi , welcome to the forum. I'd advise you ask your first few questions "in here" for the moment , there is no "flaming" allowed here and you are more likely to get reasonable answers . Would also suggest you try a bit of "searching" first , then you would be able to post more specific questions.

About your choices of accommodation , BM's have different views about each of the places you ask about. Have a read of the "opinions" in this thread.

Feel free to ask any other questions you have , you may not always get sensible answers , but that's all part of the fun.

Hello Guys,

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody.

Just a few (typical?) newbie questions:
- When you bf a bg, do you pay that money to somebody in the bar through the bg, or you must do that yourself?
-Then you leave right away or you can stay a bit longer until you're ready to go?
- When you go LT, how long does the girl stay with you the next morning? Will she join you for breakfast too for example?
- Guess, you have to take care of your own rubbers. Is it better to bring with you or get them locally?

Maybe more will pop up, but I hope anybody can shine some light for me on these ones.

Thanks!

Enjoy walking...
Nanook

Hi Nanook

1) They'll put it to your bill
2) Up to you - just tell the girl you will bf here and pay your bill when ready to go
3) Up to her - If they don't have an appointment in the morning they stay (sleep) at least until noon (my experience) - never made breakfast , but usually they enjoy some lunch etc. if you go to a Thai restaurant. Unless you are not sure to meet her a second nite prepare some escape plans if they follow you to the beach and then back to the hotel or dinner
4) Bring your own from home.

Welcome Nanook. Always nice to see the group of dutch BM growing. I am sure you will have a good time in Patong. And for the hotel. I would go for Casa Summerbreeze or another hotel in the same soi (Soi Sansabai). It's very near the action.

Cheers,

Raval
