Power Adapters

Hi I'm from Sydney Aust and I'll be staying in Patong in November.

I need to get a adapter plug for my camera charger and shaver.

Can anybody advise what kind of power outlets I would find in Patong hotels.

Would they be parallel flat pin type or the round pin European type?

Advice will be appreciated.

Complicated in the fact that there is both round pin in most (better) places and flat type used on cheaper thai plugs and equip.. Round is the safest bet as most flat type are dual round and flat. So you generally see either round only or round and flat.

The Ozzy style 2 pin plugs will fit into most Thai power outlets.

I thought ozzie style was 2 flat pins at a slight angle to each other ?? Dont have any but hard to imagine those fitting in a thai plug wihout some force.. Am I wrong on the plug style ??

LIL you're correct once again....The 2 pin angled types will fit, but require a little bit of encouragement.

The Aussie 3 pins are a no goer in LOS

Any of the international adapter thingies works - I've got quite a few Oz/Kiwi mates who use them for their phones/laptops etc. can pick them up anywhere (or so I'm told)

Welcome Sun Seeker, I'm also from Sydney, and I have found with all of my travellig, I just purchase 3-4 diffferent style addator plugs that you can buy from DSE or Tandy.
Once you have them, and if you travel to any other desination than LOS, then you got it all covered. In most major hotel they have a multiple outlet for different plugs, so just go and purchase a set of plugs, and you never have to worry again.
