Another newbie to the forum & trying to be polite
Just another Yank who has spent enough time working with Brits to appreciate, not understand, your humor. (why is it that everywhere I have ever been that the British are always made fun of?) From So. Calif area and looking to spend much more time in Thailand within a few more years. I have been to LOS 3 times for about 3 weeks each and have become addicted. At 54 I have traveled most of central America as far down as Panama, salt water fishing & sailing are my main hobbies, but have never enjoyed anything quite like Thailand. As I have 1 last daughter who's 17, (3 girls total & 9 g kids to date) to finish school it will be a couple of years before I can start to put down roots in Thailand. Reading Dodger's 1,000th post is so informative that even my mom, 74 now, is interested in coming over next year with me just to see what its like! Thanks Nikie and the BM's for a great site and I will be sure to visit the MTB on my next visit. Cruizenclyde

Also if you surf its one of the best of the world. Though my next trip that way will be Nicaragua as I have only been there once briefly and was impressed by the cost and services and fishing etc. The ladies were VERY pricey in Costa Rica and the Thai GF expierence was totally missing at least on my extended trips there.
