Phuket Thailand

Hi All,

My name is Kish from Australia, and me and a friend are travelling to Phuket for about a week over new years and January. Very excited about the trip and from what people have said about the place, sounds great. Will be staying aroung the Patong area. From whats been written on this forum, looks like you guys think the place is great too.

Has anyone here done much sport/adventure type activities in Phuket?? We have been checking various websites but it is hard to plan the trip from this side. Also if has anyone done any unique activities (apart from the you-know-what activities

) I'd really appreciate suggestions.

Hello Kish.

There are lots of activities to do in Phuket. You can book your tours once you get to Patong.

so whats happening this new years? is it the normal bangla rd?
I have had a new yrs in samui and there were fireworks and dancing / music all all sorts of stuff right on the beach.....does this happen in patong too?

read the members arrival thread under BMs on Tour Section....lots of BMs will be about including me.....just call in at Mai Tai Bar if you want to meet fellow BMs...also Love Bar, Faulty Towers and Champagne are owned by BM's so there is also a good chance of meeting BMs in any of these places...

go to the calendar feature and click on each day that you will be there and it will list the BM's that are there at the same time as you.

So look at your dates in December and January.

Yeah going to be in Patong for New Years. It will be my first one to. I'm sure it will be a blast... See you for a beer at MTB.
