Newbie's Thoughts
Sup guys, I’ve posted here and there, but mostly been a lurker. Just want to share my preparation leading up to my third LOS season. My first trip was in 12/05, followed by my second tour on 6/06 and my third tour of duty is to commence on 01/07. For the past three months, I’ve been reading the form like a Quarterback studies game film, the level of detail and information concerning the P4P scene on this board is unparallel, worldsexguide.com is a joke relative to this site.
I’ve noted the following mistakes from my second tour: 1) Spent too much money: Not that I’m a Cheap Charlie, but I was too lose with the baht. I threw money around like I had a terminal illness. 2) Settled on mediocre chicks: on certain nights, I gave into the liquor and gave up the search and settled on 6’s & 7’s. I have been hitting the gym the last 6 months with determination in addition to developing an extensive drinking regime. I don’t plan on ever bring home anything less than an 8. 3) Stayed too long in Phuket and cancelled Bangkok. I never want to leave Patong, but I need to thoroughly explore Bangkok. I spent one night at Rainbow at NEP my last night and regretted extending my Patong stay. 4) Bar-fined the same chick two nights in a row twice. It’s easy to get emotionally attached to these charming girls, but this time around The Nater will be a cold-hearted beast ala Daniel Craig – Casino Royale.
The above is 50% sarcasm, 50% reality. Departing out of NYC on 1/12/07 and just like how great NFL coaches script the first 15 plays. I have scripted my first night. First, get Thai massage and release the knots that comes with 20 hours of flying, ******* option is there depending on massage girl. Second, head to Christin’s and throw down a soapie regardless of ******* decision. Third, head to restaurant No. 54 and slam down some chicken pad thai,. Four, head to watson’s and slam down 4 redbulls. Five, head to Dragon and see if my pervious conquests still dance there and scout some talent. Six, hit the bars and scout talent. Seven, take pictures with Ladyboys on Bangla. Eight, hit Banana and scout talent. Nine, hit Tiger scout talent and shoot for a 9. Ten, bang the chick and tell her to she must leave early next morning. Eleven, go to Phi Phi, rent a long tail and spend the day at Maya bay. Twelve, head back to Patong and repeat for the next 8 days.
Can’t wait!

Don't forget to pop in to the MTB and say hello to Nicke and the crew, sometime during your visit.
Have a great trip.

Nice planning PosK, but I bet they will change once you start moving around in Patong. I guess most of us have experienced this. But I sure hope you will have a good time and don't forget to post your report once you are back home.

Coolhand is right - drop in to MTB and say hello to any of the BMs who are in town. You can then modify your plan with lots of first hand input, and probably wake up the next day wondering what the fcuk happened to you ... its called Black Death.

Thanks guys, will def. stop by MTB and will give faulty burgers a try as well since I consider myself a burger connoisseur. Will also hit up similan island this time around.
Another aspect of my training has been Thai music. Listening to some Zeal and Potato at work right now ... my goal is to actually know a song a cover band will play at Galaxy. Safari, Baya Beach, Rock-a-hard, love bar and suzy wong has been added to the agenda today.

The dates have been pushed up, will be landing in BKK on 12/31. Thought about heading right down to Phuket, but decided to spend NYE in BKK and head down to Phuket the next morning.
Anyone with advise on whether Im making the wrong move?
NYE in Bangkok or Phuket, that is the burning question...
Galaxy was my spot ...
where can I go to hear some good Thai music?

Good game plan. If you stick to the ground game, and avoid costly turnovers, you should do well. Remember, no trick plays like flea flickers or end-arounds, and, above all, never throw late over the middle!
Good luck, and may the best side win! No offense, but I'm taking the BGs with the spread. Why, you ask? Experience!

Galaxy gone from Soi Sunset and now has moved to new place (not been yet) over near Karon end of Ratuthit Rd (new road - dont know name).
The Loft caters to Thai crowd and by the time you come Crocodile will have been re-born as D'Club also Thai focus.
As for NYE question - really hard to call - personally like going to beach and toasting in the New Year with the fireworks displays from the big hotels and boat owners. BKK doesnt really have a New Year party like Times Square or Trafalger Square ... the Thai's will go to the temple for merit ceremonies.

Jaybee,
Thanks for your vote of confidence Im giving the BGs 3 points for homefield, However it willl be prudent to take the Nater Moneyline and parlay that with the over (i always end up spending much more than budget).
K2,
When is the official opening date for Crocodile?
