Hi ... Los and how a young 22yr old stumbled across its delights

Just thought i would post a hello introductory here. I really like the forum , its not all sex and wham bam thankyou maam, its seems to have a lot of good threads going and a lot of intellegent discussions going on which i like...

Anyway my names Tas living in London at present and only 22. I discovered Thailand back in June this year whilst on my backpacking adventure . !st place i went to was Patong led my and eager irish lad ... my 1st night and i got laid , i was in awe so this is what Thailands like .... i continued my travels through thailand , cambodia. borneo, sinagpore etc but just couldnt get thailand out og my head .

I was based in KL as my mums from malaysia so was staying there as a little base camp ...anyway long soty short in early september i decided to hit BKK,Pattaya and Patong(3rd time as brought another backpacker freind there b4 this trip) , i ditched the backpack and got my self a suitcase enough of the budgeting i thought , i splashed out and had a whale of a time .

Soon i was time to start thinking about my arrival back to reality , life in depressing London how would i even cope ...

I was back in Kl for my cousins engagemnt when i decided lifes to short i doubt i will be getting another opportunity like this ... I went back and spent even more time in thiailand (sick i know ,) , visited patong for the 4th time , pattaya and bangkok again , i must have sensed that i might be a bit sex depreived back in London so i was defly making up for it .

Well this brings me to how i stumbled across this forum as i heard soemone say LOS is like a drug i agree but i cant say im too happy about my addication esp at a my age ... it takes up way to muich of my thoughts . way too much ........

anyway nice to have found this place and look forward to contributing

Tas

In a strange way I am glad I was able to really crack down and work for a few years without the Thai addiction hitting me then..

It wasnt the most fun period of my life as I simply worked every hour I was awake, every day of the week, to make and grow a company.. 18 hour days, 7 days a week, for months at a time..

If I had Thailand batting around in my head I dont know if I would have been able to hold my nose to the grindstone then..

I also see young expats just getting by, with no security, often being helped by parents, and now job job skills or career and a big hole in any employment record.. A gap year is one thing but I tend to see many of those lives as lives without much future and no security at all..

Lol irish jonny , he never led me astray so to speak but pointed me in right direction top guy he was .... on my first night in patong i kept saying to him over and over ... "I cant belive this" i could not get over how many women there were , and how i could have my pick of one if i chose to .. he just replied everytime " get over it mate this is thailand "

meeting him changed the course of my trip for that im grateful and wont regret it.. im just worried about being a bit to hung up over the delights of thailand , im trying to stay away as long as possible but plan to go back in May or June Low Season as it was nice and quiet just the way i like it ..
