I bought that one at BKK Airport a couple of trips ago. Sandra Gregory was her name. A real good read, and strange to think she had a worse time when she got her sentence transferred to a UK prison.

I changed the URL to the Author's own download page instead of a Pattaya website.

Its also available as a book in most book stores here, if you dont want to print it out.

i agree dawsey a good read. i go past holloway prison quite often where she was held. the women are shouting and screaming out of the cell windows. looks more like a lunatic asylum than a prison!

While talking about Thai prison books i gotta recommend yet another one that i believe is even better then welcome to hell.

The Damage Done: Twelve Years of Hell in a Bangkok Prison

While i believe its a shocking, depressing and terrifying read it is also fascinating how a man can endure such a treatment for 12 years of time! This is infact one of the best books i have read, not because it is the most well written one but because its strong, emotional and sincere. It is simply one of those books that you read untill its finished and once you finish you want more.

Read 'The Damage Done' one week before I was leaving for Thailand - sh*t myself at the airport when I arrived, even though I had nohing to hide, just gave me the willy's thinking about what the old immigration/police officers can do if they don't like the look of your face.

Downloaded Private Dancer on Saturday afternoon and finished it by the evening. Was i good read - not read Welcome to hell yet, but a friend is lending it to me next week.

I just downloaded from the link provided, but only got 43 pages.

The website states that:

For many years Private Dancer was unpublished, and was only available as an on-line download. It has now been published in Thailand and Singapore, **but I have left a big chunk on-line here**. Click on the button for the free download, or order the book direct from DCO or Monsoon Books.

Maybe I was just to late to get the whole thing.......
