DocDuke - My Introduction
Help! I am an American 21 year old XPAT trapped in a 40 year old body. At least that’s how I feel after a year in Asia. I have enjoyed my travels all over Asia and have found Phuket to be a great destination whenever I get the chance for a few days R&R. Was there maybe 9 times in 2006, the last being 10 days up to Dec 26 and was that a blast!
I’ll never forget these 4 Swedish bikini girls in the Patong beach, waist deep, dancing in circles, Santa hats on, each 100% drop dead gorgeous……oh I digress…..this was supposed to be about me.
I have a TGF in Patong that has given me a perspective on love and TLC that I had never imagined. Sometimes I have to pinch myself for how lucky I am to have this lovely creature giving back to me all the attention any man would ever want.
When in Patong I like to hit the Fit Club every other day, hit the beach, snorkel, try the restaurants, Muy Thai Boxing (a blast), motor bike to the After Beach Look out bar, Lam Sing beach, (which is too tough for the 300 pound Euro guys and gals in Speedos and bikinis, thank God). I try to stay in shape and workout so I can consume mass quantities of Sing Ha. I am not wasted every night, but do enjoy a few and lots of friendly conversation. My GF usually is with me. She’s 34 and is a massage girl and just recently an owner. (Guess who bought it for her). No strings attached. Happy to do it for her.
I look forward to stopping by the MTB in Feb over Chinese NY with GF. Have been reading posts here now for about a month and really appreciate all the info and good neighborliness and humor you BMs provide. I have been around the block a few times and think I can contribute something to this forum and know I have a lot to learn about Thai culture, etc. . Right now, plans are to work maybe 3 more years and retire in Phuket with TGF. So that’s me. Glad I found this forum and the MTB. It adds to the already great Thai experience.
Thanks!
DocDuke

Good point and perhaps one that should get more attention. They give such an honest warm feeling when they care for you. Another one for "what the west has lost" list.

Welcome, I'm looking forward to hearing about your events leading up to putting down roots in LOS. I've got a 5 year plan 'till I figure out where to hang my hat and all the expat experiences on this site has given me a wealth of information.

mirror image?
Doc, can’t believe the similarities. I too am an American youngster imprisoned in an older (50ish) body. I’ve been working for a big multinational firm in Singapore for the last 2 years and, thanks to Tiger and Jetstar Asia, hop over to LOS almost monthly. Been to Bangkok, Samui, Koh Phangan, Up-Country, Chiang Mai and, of course, Phuket. Like Phuket/Patong best. In Feb. I’ll be in Patong a total of 9 days (Chinese New Year holiday) Let’s try to meet up at MTB.
Also, have TG and also setting her up in rub-a-dub-dub biz. Unencumbered by a spousal unit, my plan is to get a retirement visa in 2 years when gov. check and pension should allow me to spend most of the year in Phuket enjoying the beaches, golf, good food, loving, attentive TG…all the living in LOS advantages…without having to tap into the 401K.
Like you I find the Forum informative and amusing…especially like the Denver attitude.

Thanks guys. last time I checked there were plenty of TG to go around. SO enjoy.
Bum - nice intro and yes there are similarities in our stories. Are you the albino dwarf with eye patch I was drinking with at the Philipino bars last weekend here in Singapore?

You are right. May is way to far away. I guess I'll just have to drink a pint for you, RobRoy. Phuket is 1.5 hour flight, about $100 USD round trip for me, if I watch the Tiger Air specials. So that's an offer I cannot refuse. In fact, I am having trouble discovering the rest of Thailand, Cambo, Laos, Vietnam, because I am having too damn much fun in Phuket.

Hi and welcome here. I don't think I have to ask if you enjoy yourself when in LOS.
