Surfing in Phuket or Koh Samui
Are there any surfing or kite boarding spots in Phuket or Koh Samui this time of year?

Here is a good general resource for you:
Surfing thailand phuket & Asia, Surf reports, Thailand surfing, Asia surf travel guide They say there are waves over on Samui. Nothing much too speak of here in Phuket. You could do a little body boarding the other day at Kata. For Phuket, best wait until May - Oct.

I was in Samui last January and there is a well run kitesurfing place down from Lamai beach. There wasn't any wind though for the 5 days I was there so I couldn't go. They also have a shop at Hua Hin and she said March was the best time to come to Hua Hin for nice, steady winds.
