My late Introduction
Part of me wanted to skip introducing myself. Hmmm, well, I was born a really really long time ago and I have had time to do really really lots of stuff but now retired, mid 50's. I currently reside in Queensland Australia.
I started lurking around in this forum before my first trip to LOS in October 2006 and it was to be really helpful and informative in my trip planning.
The friendliness, knowledge of the BM's is a great asset to this forum and that’s the way things should be on a message boards.
My next trip will be 30/05/2007 to 22/06/2007 and I am calling it my "Birthday Bash" armed with Golf Clubs.
It would seem that BM, Nicke has the same birthday as me and I can't think of a better way to spend it than celebrating it in the MTB. That’s of course if Ead still allows Nicke to stay out late after he is married. Marriage tends to curb male activites in Australia.
So here I am. Hopefully I'll be helping answer n00b questions after awhile instead of asking them.
Ciao for now
John

Hi John and welcome aboard the good ship Phuket-Info. I've gone all nautical lately in my endeavour to catch Tuna.
Thanks for the intro as it gives us an insight to you and the fact you are bringing golf clubs! Some of the BM's are mad-keen golfers and will give you the hints and tips on how not to hit the water hazzards! Didn't work for me mind but hey! I gave it a shot.
Look forward to hooking (Golf joke there!) up with you when you get here and again.............Welcome to the board John

I played 5 games on my last visit and throughly enjoyed the walk around Blue Canyon and Phuket Country Club. My most memorable moment at Golf was the push in the back by the caddie to get me up a hill at Blue Canyon came as a surprise and a pleasant one at that. Lovely young Thai girl. Of course they are all lovely.
Looking forward to getting one of those Thursday afternoon games with Nicke and fellow BM's.

Let me guess. The push came after finishing #18 and having to climb the "hill" to the clubhouse where you tip your cadd y.

No it was actually early in the game, one of the early par 4's. I think she thought I was not walking quick enough. I had sweated out all the previous nights MTB Heinikens by the time I had got to the 18th.
They could probably make a few extra baht by running you up the hill in a Golf Buggy.

Yes have been there a number of times over the years, mainly on Golf trips.
Great courses but no pretty caddies.

Welcome to the board. It looks like our trips will overlap quite a bit. I'm sure we'll run into each other at the MTB. Looking forward to it.
