Hello All

Hello all. I am a 47 year old man from England and I've been reading this forum for a while and talking about going to Thailand for even longer.I first became aware of Thailand about 15 years ago when someone I knew went there for a holiday and didn't come back for a year, when they did return it was only to earn money so as to go back again.I promised myself I'd go too but somehow the ratrace got the better of me..Whoosh ! there goes another year and you didn't do it.Perhaps now I'm finally gonna do it.I intend booking a flight for early March and plan on staying 3 weeks.Thought I would start in Phuket then move up to Pattaya.I think I'll book somewhere in Phuket for the first couple of days then look around for somewhere to stay. I Wouldn't mind playing some golf and going to the range...but we'll see.I've heard the best laid plans don't survive the first engagement with the bg.Thanks to all of you for the advice on the board and I'll try to use the search function as much as possible.I look forward to visiting MTB,sampling the beer and meeting some of you.Till then, Cheers!

Hello Drive, welcome to the board, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay in LOS, it can only be better than the snow covered Europe, Denmark today all roads closed and people take a day off from work.

Good intro Drive.

You will be able to do all the above things. And much more! You will love Phuket. Three weeks should be a good introduction to LOS too. I haven't made it to Pattaya yet myself, but from what I hear it's not as chilled out as Phuket/Patong... Might be an idea to check Phuket first and then get a few nights in Pattaya at the end?

Make sure you have a gander around Bangkok too! Great city... I loved it.

Roll on June... (For me

Hi Drive, welcome to the board and you better ask a pilot to "drive" you over to Patong quickly and enjoy all the goodies there.

Thanks for the welcome lads...I must admit I'm excited about the trip but I've still got alot to organize ...not least accommodation...It does seem a little more difficult than Patts to find gf places to stay.Anyhow its a learning curve for me at the moment ..so I'll carry on reading the accommodation threads.

Welcome to the board Drive,

I'm sure you will find somewhere to sleep. Lots of info on here in the various threads. Have a good look around.
