Another Newbie :)

Hello everybody. I've been lurking on these boards for about a year now, and I've finally decided to post something. I was about a month or so into a six month stint in Phuket when I first found the site, and I have to say it was one of the most useful things I could have come across; a really good source of info for what and what not to do. Of course, the "little brain" sometimes did a bit too much thinking, but that's to be expected in Patong I think

I loved it so much that I'm coming back in a few weeks' time. Bringing out a friend and my brother, both of whom are Thailand "virgins"... I hope they can handle the heat

Not really much of a point to the post other than to say hi and to say what a great site this is!

Welcome Platypus,

I agree this board is a mine of information, like you I read it extensively before my last trip and had the time of my life.

Have a good one and don't forget to update us when you get back.

Yeah, welcome. Like you I'm a 'newbie' to this board (but not to Thailand). I am intrigued, however, why someone residing in England would call himself 'Platypus'. We Aussies are very protective of our marsupials. At least until we shoot and eat them.

You'll have fun in Thailand, no matter what you are into!
