I could not have said (written/typed/texted) it better myself. I am amazed at the incredulousity of it all.

By the way, I'll be happy to buy you a drink if ever I get a chance. I will be sure to PM you before my next trip to Thailand just in case you are there at the same time.

I may not be LEVEL 3 but I am certainly over the first magic number !!!

So we have a 'level 3' access here???

I've always liked 'Level 42' myself!

"Running in the Family" is an 80's classic!

You will never leave that alone, will you.
That is OK, because you could actually learn something.

Well I just passed the 25 mark a few posts ago, and I think most my posts have been fairly legit. I didn't want to just post for the hell of it or to troll around, but I did want to read up on some trip reports (which I gathered was opened once I got past the newbie level) before I go to LOS in just over a week from now.

So...er if any mods can bump me up a notch, I will post a juicy TR myself once I experience LOS firsthand.

That was my frustration when I first became a memeber. I just didn't feel like I had much to contribute having never been to Thailand yet. But 6 months later after returning from my first trip I felt better about contributing from time to time and I had a TR to post.

I have been a member now for 8 months and I still have a ways to go just to see my signature. Well I guess sometime in 2009 I should see my signature.

If you can manage to post some useless drivvel like some do then you can really rack up the posts, I just can't do that.

Oh yes! It helps!!!!!!!

As for higher access levels, I think there are alot of other threads that are not Thailand only, such as the sports ones, which can be easily added to if you are knowledgable about the subjects.

As for people's Trip reports. You got to understand that some Bm's dont want just anyone reading them, as it been stated before. So thats why these 'levels' exist.

Just keep logging on and contributing. "Good things come to those who wait".

Am I wrong or people's trip reports are on level 2. for the signature, 300 posts is the set number to gain it, " applies for everyone"

You are correct!
Signature doesn't always show. This post for example.

Actually it does show up in some Quick Reply and when it doesn't I have tried to delete the reply and re-posted using Advanced posting and it still did not show up.

Showed up here ... this is a Quick Reply!

In that case, could I know what "unlockable" subjects there are?

I'm big on soccer (or football for you Euros) and the NBA.
I play a mean game of ping pong as well.

I think most Europeans are into soccer right? I just watched ManU get thumped by AC Milan 3-0 a few days ago. What a shame. Can't wait until May23 for the UEFA finals against Liverpool!

Also, if anyone's been following the NBA, the playoffs have been underway for a while now. Several huge upsets, such as the Warriors ousting the Mavs and the Nets beating the Raps. Still waiting for tonight's game 7 Houston vs Utah..
